Well im stilll having the game guard error 114 error TT.TT

From one victim of this error:

Recently I have started having problems with mmorpgs protected by GameGuard. After GameGuard loads it immediately shuts down giving error code 114 asking to restart etc. I'm having this problem with eFlyff and Mo Siang Online and Gunbound. However, pRose works just fine. I have heard that this may be due to spyware and such but I'm 100% sure that my system is clean. Any solutions, guys?

BUT i got hope for those who are still facing it. Sources tell me some important things. Here it is.

First source:

Updating drivers (sometimes 114 is caused by outdated drivers)
- Closing anything like norton or other anti virus (many of these will interfere with gameguard as it functions like a virus)
- Closing all processes that aren't necessary
- Try running from another user account (it may be something installed on your account which does not run on another)

If none of these work then it's likely that your problem is the same as mine or nemuke's - you have a program running stealthily so you can't find it, and it is interfering with gameguard. If you've already tried running anti-virus many will not pick something like this up, but after using about 10 i managed to find one which found something running in my memory which i couldnt find or ix manually, and it removed it for me. The program is called spysweeper, just run a full scan, this will take up to 30 minutes as it looks at every single file on your pc, scans memory, running processes and the registry to completely remove anything you don't want. After running this gameguard error 114 was gone for me.

it does what dawn isonova suggests, but it finds which files are affected for you and requests you to reboot so it can fix them for you as windows loads, which is most likely where your problem will be if you cant find it.

here is the spy sweeper setup (12mb):
UploadTemple.COM - Free File Hosting up to 30MB!

good luck hope it works, i know it sucks not being able to play ijji-gunz

Question:
I am receiving GameGuard Error 114.

Answer:
Most of the issues that have been seen attributed to this error message have been due to a firewall. If you are receiving this error message, try the following steps.

First, try disabling any and all firewalls that you have running on your machine to see if this alleviates the issue.

If it does not, you'll need to adjust your firewall exceptions to allow exceptions for these files: Gunz.exe, GameGuard.ver and GameMon.des. Specific instructions for this can typically be found on the respective manufacturers' websites. The process will vary by manufacturer. The default locations for each file are as follows:

"C:\Ijji\ENGLISH\Gunz\Gunz.exe"
"C:\Ijji\ENGLISH\Gunz\GameGuard\GameGuard.ver"
"C:\Ijji\ENGLISH\Gunz\GameGuard\GameMon.des"

If you are still receiving this error message after trying these steps, you should make sure that you have no third party applications attached to the GunZ program.

It takes too long to load the game, and at last, displays Error code 114 and game is closed.

1. There could be a program that might be taking up too much CPU resource. Or, the video driver or sound driver might be out of date. Please scan for any virus and spy-ware, and update all drivers to the most recent versions.

2. The user might be running an anti-virus software that is too heavy for the particular system(Norton 2005, McAfee, VirusBuster, etc.) Please open the settings of the application, and disable any unnecessary features like internet monitoring, outlook monitoring, script monitoring.

Thats a good point, It happened to me a few times, I had Peer guardian though, so all I did was unblock for an hour, firewall on windows may play a part too.

Next source

hats because you have mcafee or norton antivirus enabled that's why you get that code 114, the only solution is restart pc

I've also had this problem with select gameguard games. In my case it is not a firewall/virus/or hack issue. And don't take down your windows firewall. Just open up the port gameguard uses. I've spent hours debugging this problem with no solution. From other online posts the only fix seems to be reformatting. But forget that.

It's possible that your version of the game is corrupt. TCP/IP isn't perfect, and maybe a few ones and zeros didn't end up in the right place when you dled the game.
Also, as it is not related to some gameguard games but is related to others it might very well be the issue. Try redownloading the client from a different site. Also delete the gameguard folder before you rienstall.

Good Luck!

One of the best ones:

Its seems that the GG114 error is a global issue...
(This is game guard intialization error. Please try again after you re-boot or terminate other programs that may be collding)
Ive been trying to run Rakion but GG keeps me out with 114 error. Ive been googeling for a solution and i found out that its sort of a global issue with all of the games that use GG.
Ive tried reinstaling/redownloading/rebooting/turn off fire walls and antiviresus/etc etc... only thing i didnt do was to reformat my comp....
Ive sent an email to softnyx (rakion guys) and i got this:

1) Please download and install anti-adware program from http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10...age&tag=button and scan your PC. It's a product from lavasoft called Ad-aware, an anti-adware program to remove most of adware and spyware software that already loaded on your PC. Also scan for virus with your latest virus vaccine.

2) If you stil have same problem, please compress five erl files (npgg, npgl, npgm, npgmup, npsc) from C:/Program Files/Softnyx/Rakion/Bin/GameGuard folder to GameGuard.zip right after the problem happened and send the file to Game2@inca.co.kr. Put your Login ID in mail message and please explain your problem in more detail with screenshot when you send the file.

Im curantly scanning with the adware program...may take a while...
Other than that the only selution is geting a GameGuard bypass, but aperantly that can get you banned (we dont want that)

SO if anybody got a solutiong for this crapy GG please share.

~sorry about the crapy english~
