how to get boss item

i was wondering if there is really a way to get boss items like crimson necklace or large skull , etc. i've heard lots of stuff but im not really sure what to believe.. lol

For getting these items you must do lv 3 quests.

I'm personally thinking the drop rate increases if you kill the shamans or big skeletons with headshots.

But that's not for sure, also you don't get always one.

I really think it's Random too. There isn't really anything that could cause your Quest drops to increase, but I'm not 100% sure.

crimson necklace is a 12% drop rate
large skull has a 22% drop rate

You get it by luck. There is like a 6% of killing Shaman or Big Skeleton to get the boss item. Dungeon = easier to get because more of that monster spawns to get that item.

That makes more sence on why people get more Large Skulls than Crimson Necklaces.

Where did the 6% chance drop rate come from? I believe that is extremly low.

They can drop armor, health, ammo, chest, or nothing. That makes it 1/5(20%), not including failed quest attempts and such, which would make it seem even harder to get.

i have to say i think it is also random and that head shot killing last is just a rumor some person mabe up to have hope of gettting a good drop so random is my guesss >_>?

yea realy quest items are random but soem ppl trick them selves into thinking tht omg i shot him in the head and i got this super rare itme OMFG let me go spam the forums and tell every one!

The headshot/melee weapon thing is just a rumor. u always have a 6% chance to get good stuff. so u would have 2 kill like 16/17 of these guys to get one of these rare items 100%

I personally think that if headshot does something to rates it decreases it. I get Large skull easier by slaying it as fast as I can than by headshotting it.
