Dear ijji users:

Recently, there has been an increase in the number of hacked, stolen, or otherwise compromised account claims. As the ijji.com Service was not attacked, nor otherwise compromised, those individuals experiencing these issues may have been victim of the following. These actions drastically jeopardize the security of an account.

l The sharing of accounts or account information
l Playing on unlicensed/illegal private servers
l Downloading/installing unapproved 3rd party programs
l Accepting files from strangers/untrustworthy sources
l Utilizing a “weak” account password
l Downloading/installing key logging utilities

Account security is obviously quite important within an online environment. However, it is the responsibility of the registered user to maintain the confidentiality of this information. One simple way to help protect the safety of this information is to create a “strong” password. The password is one of the most vital pieces of this security, but it can also become the most vulnerable.

If you are unclear as to what is considered a “strong” password, and/or how to create one, you may find numerous helpful articles online.
