If anyone else got this problem, do what "Jon" said, it helped me and if u got exactly this error message that will help you... i only needed to delete this file then he said me i needa install active x (it was installed im pretty sure but who cares ^^) u let him install and go play... no crying like "wtf GunZ pl0x0rzZz!" anymore =P

have fun guys and thanks alot to Jon for this...

this guy is awsome everyone who got the problem fixed with this thank him =O

Check to see if the HGPlugin is either damaged or blocked.

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files For gunz it is HGPlugin9 USA.

Right click on the file and go to the dependency tab. In there you should find a HGPlugin-- .INF ; .DLL ; and a .EXE. If you see damaged 3 times then you need to delete that file and then click play live to try and force a redownload of that file. If that dosen't work then you need to uninstall gunz then go and delete that file, then reinstall gunz.

If you have those 3 dependencies, then perhaps your firewall is blocking it. To add the appropraite file to your firewall exception list, you need to manually enter the address of the .exe file.(example:c:\windows\downloaded program files\hgstart9usa.exe)

-Bump-
This may help other users since schattenphoenix has it solved.

Credits go to Jon for posting the quote, though I'm not sure if he's the one who actually posted it first.

When you say "have those three dependencies", does that mean they are all working, or you have failed to get them working? I uninstalled, deleted the file, reinstalled both, and rechecked the file. Twice. The dependencies still read "damaged".

Is the Firewall creating that problem, or is the Firewall a problem after this one?

Firewall is most likely a seperate problem; it has equal importance. But if that file is damaged the firewall step really dosen't matter. You need to be on a computer administrator account is one simple step. Also, your anti-virus could have taken part in corrupting that file by detecting a trojan.dloader.bak which is not a virus, but your anti-virus might be name sensitive.

If the Active X control does not work, you might have to change the settings in your browser. Go to: Tools -> Internet options -> Security -> Custom settings and change the setting to "Default". This will allow the Active X control to load. If it still does not load, or if you cannot change the settings, you will have to make sure that you have administrator privileges.
