For #2, I suggest you do it before or during Christmas day. Or on New Years day. That way, it's more romantic. As for your weapons of choice, I suggest:

1) Flowers (If you own a garden, and grow nice roses, forget the store ones, use those. They look better and you can customize).

2) Candy. Does it work? Occasionally.

3) Stuffed Animal, this is the most powerful weapon of all. I cannot strain how powerful this has been for me and my friends (I think, lol)

4) As for your attire, I suggest someone nice looking, but somewhere in the middle. Something too casual is bad. And a suit kinda varies, it might go too far.
