I've been reading a lot of threads/sigs advertising rep4rep
This is abuse of the forums, and I believe is against Ijji's ToS


3. Help foster a healthy Community.

Not technically against it, but it isn't good for the forums

Goal: Whichever rep the specified person asks for, give them the opposite.
Alert anyone you can you to get an opposite repping system going

If forum newbs aren't sure what's going on, and have less than five-ten posts, don't -rep them. They probably don't know any better.........yet.

I'm for it, I used to be at the top of the Rep list till people started swapping rep. No lies. I might even be able to find a screenshot. One form of proof is my sticky thread which was one of the first out there if not THE first sticky.

I totally agree that rep is supposed to be EARNED, not swapped, but only forum admin can affect that anyone

How is it not helping the community a healthy community does not cheat so isn't trading rep technicly "cheating" so it somewhat does help the community.

Why?
I doubt the GM's and CSR's approve of rep trading, but it isn't technically against the rules so it doesn't come with a punishment

He had a previous account that got banned. People felt sorry and repped him.
That's also why Hesitate is up there.
Godmodee is up there because he gave an active forum clan a free vent, and to 'pay' for it they rep him.

EDIT: It should also be noted that this is more of a problem in SF forums then in your forums. I'm not sure if it's because we're more active/helpful than you, or simply because of previous rep trading, but most of the top repped people are from SF.

Ok, first off, if the person wants -rep, they're obviously not swapping. It would take a complete and utter moron to try to gain -rep through swapping. If you don't understand why, go away, I've got no interest in talking to someone that stupid.

Because of how it's worded and the VERY logical assumption that you can't swap for -rep... The only logical way to take that statement is that anyone with any form of "-rep me" in their sig, swapping or otherwise, should get the opposite rep.
