View Full Version : Massive Style
To begin with, I'm gonna explain some ground rules for the Massive style.
1.) Massive Style is sword only (can work with kadochi too though)
2.) Massive Style, while using a block, IS NOT TURTLING. It is an advanced form.
Massive style, like other styles, is a form of glitch use, focusing on the spin massive.
It can, if used correctly, and somtimes with other styles (works best with K-style) can bring down even the toughest K-stylers.
Here's how you do it.
You have out your sword, ok?
Good.
Now, when your opponent is jumping around or flailing with his/her sword, walk up with a block. When they are stunned (only worked on stunned players), turn your back to your enemy and launch your massive. This also works if you face to the sides too, but it is easier to turn 180 degrees.
while the enemy is stunned, make use of the massive stun to get in a few swings. If they get a massive, they will probably be ready to launch it as soon as they get out of the stun. Be ready to block.
That's it for the Massive style. Don't waste either of our times by whining that this is turtling. Turtling is a Newbie weapon. Massive style can win or lose it for you depending on if you do it correctly.

This is not really a "style" but more of a technique.

of course it can be countered via sky block

Thats still basically a form of turtling. Would be more like a tactic for turtling, not a real style. I know what your talking about though, block and move into their hits. However this, "style" isn't always effective as it can easily mess you up if you're not careful.

its not rly a style, every does that. i tunk its called unblockable massive? or sky break. if soem1 is tryin to sky block(block and look up when massived), u either turn 180 degreese and massive or look up and massive im not sure wich.
Or, massive, insta if you can, then when the are on the floor, look up and dbf. Straight up, towards the sky. When you do this you can hit them on the floor.

Massive Style, while using a block, IS NOT TURTLING. It is an advanced form.
An advanced from of turtling is turtling IN AN ADVANCED FORM. So it's turtling.
It can, if used correctly, and sometimes with other styles (works best with K-style) can bring down even the toughest K-stylers.
I buy a rocket launcher and you're dead.
Turtling is a Newbie weapon.
You just called your own style a "Newbie weapon" concerning the first quote in this post.

The massive style seems to be in it's whole form. Amateurs to the world of fighting would think that you have a useless technique and not a style. They may be right, until they reach the high ranks of the best fighters. You should try to expand that style into something that will become universal and not just for blocking. If you want more information on expansion of a technique, play Guild Wars. I think you may have something going on here, but i'll let you explore its possibilities on your own.

Rofl... You pretty much just described turtling, and turtling is quite "pro" when used by the right person. Also, I'd say you're the newbie seeing as you think turtling is a style.

Turtle is pro. If you can kill someone by pressing 1 button the whole time, then you own.

of course it can be countered via sky block
Sky block doesn't protect against 180 ground massives.
Ground block does. Which is why so many people fall victim to this technique.
Everyone is so used to spamming sky block when they hear that *TING* sound, that they don't pay attention to what their opponent is doing.
