A tribute to Ret.ardz Clan

I'm going to miss the clan, and so will many other people.

The other day something devastating happened. If you havent already heard I was suddenly baned with no warning. My lvl 50 female and my lvl 66 male are gone forever. All my work gone. And my hundreds of dollars spent on prems, to ijji, are now all gone...

But most importantly, my clan is gone because of this. IJJI did not only affect me by doing this but also all of the ret.ardz clan.

Let me just say that this was the longest living active quest clan that i know of. ret.ardz started this clan in early march of 2007, later handing the clan over to me.

This was very sad that ijji had to do this, but im not going to complain and try to convince them of anything. I'll miss ret.ardz, and i think im going to give up gunz completely.

It says severe and/or repeated violations. Too bad they won't say what i did that was so severe or so repetitive. Although i do admit that i did try out a hack one time a while ago which I believe is the reason.

I have also been reminded of how many people that, because of me, have started playing gunz. my videos get many members to ijji, and its basically advertising ijji gunz a whole bunch. i get 1000's of views everyday on my videos. And i have even paid ijji 100s of dollars! (for prems)

It is such a shame that they would ban me instead of all these low life hackers running around gunz right now...

You hack, you get a replay taken of you, you get reported properly, you will get banned. Simple as that. If you don't want to get banned, don't use exploits, don't use hacks.

If you really support the Gunz community you should just create a new character and start over. Heck, you could probably just recreate the clan with a slightly different name and have all of the old members leave and come to your new one.

There really is no point in complaining about how you got banned for cheating. That's like complaining to your friends about how a police officer arrested you for a DUI.

thats not true, hackers frequently and often get banned very quickly maybe a few last 1 month or more, the only hackers that have hacked for years are those that arnt script kiddies and make new accounts

It's really a shame that Matt would get banned for using a hack once while some people use DarkX every single day.

I find it rather amusing that ijji finds the time to ban such a great player and clan leader instead of actually fixing things that matter the most. 99.9% of the time I load Gunz, I either crash at the server login screen, or I get a hacking attempt. Those are the kinds of things ijji should be worrying about, not banning every single person that can crack open a DLL and inject it into the game.

If you don't like hackers, leave their games and stop complaining about it. Play with friends for Christ's sake, that is, if you even have any, I know I probably don't since I'm hated by a lot of people.

You phail, hackers are what are ruining this game, why should people who are playing the game have their fun ruined and have to move along. If that was the attitude all the rooms would be filled with hackers. I liked Gamermatt, he seemed like a nice guy, I didn't like ************************z, quite a few of them were runners and several more were hackers, not all of them, some of the members were really cool. It's simple... if you're with a person that's well known, and probably using a high level char with hacks, and they're in public where replays or videos can be made against them... WHO WOULDN'T REPORT THEM... with the exception that they're not your friend, then i'm assuming the worse for you, sorry!!!

International Gunz, December 2005 until January 2006. What happened during these times? If anyone was around.. They probably had to restart from the beginning. A hack was released publicly to allow members of the community to delete peoples characters from the lobby, without there knowledge. If a clan masters character was deleted, the whole clan got closed, and the character would be deleted 24 hours later. This hack was so bad, you'd just have about 7 guys in one channel with it, and they'd empty channels of 100's of people within seconds. ALL those people had to restart.. no matter what character they were on.

Perhaps you should check the Gunzfactor forum history on a guy named HolyForce.

In addition, another very similar incident occurred around August of 2006, Admin Console Hack 2 was released, with AryaVarwin claiming to have instigated the production of this hack.. I don't know what happened, I wasn't on Gunz, I left as soon as I heard what the hack could do.. I had seen people using it, and I was one of the people hit by this... and I didn't remake until it'd been fixed.... THIS HACK was worse then the locust plague. It was able to BAN your account, a regular user run this hack, they had full powers of an in game Moderator, and they could enter channels, ban the whole channels accounts, and everyone would lose between 1 and 5 characters.

GET OVER YOUR LOSS. So you've fallen off the horse... just get back on and keep riding, don't lie on the ground sulking for a stretcher. I had more respect for you.

I had seen people using it, and I was one of the people hit by this... and I didn't remake until it'd been fixed.... THIS HACK was worse then the locust plague. It was able to BAN your account, a regular user run this hack, they had full powers of an in game Moderator, and they could enter channels, ban the whole channels accounts, and everyone would lose between 1 and 5 characters.

GET OVER YOUR LOSS. So you've fallen off the horse... just get back on and keep riding, don't lie on the ground sulking for a stretcher. I had more respect for you.

Hacking isn't noob. Most legendary hackers hack a game because they want to take down the game by making the server crash/shut down. Which in results, the game would go into "Server Maintenance".

Hackers - Hackers make the hacks, they generally either want to show off there skill, have been paid to hack, make money off producing hacks, or they are trying to better something by showing the exploits and holes of somethings coding, or security systems.

Script Kiddies - Script kiddies download these hacks that hackers make, and run around using them, because it makes things easier for them, or because it's more fun, or because they enjoy having people scream at them, so they can laugh and tell those people doing legitimate stuff, what little lives they have based on the fact that they're getting upset about it...

Script Kiddies are what you all deal with on Gunz.. Hackers is what the VETERAN players of gunz had to deal with, where Federal Police (or the American equivalent.. To my knowledge, FBI are a little more advanced then a normal Police officer?) had been called in to aprehend members of the Gunz community for destroying game coding etc...

I brought these up with relevance to GamerMatts scenario, and what he said, for that tool that said it had no relevance.

Script Kiddies on gunz are generally people who are oblivious to the communities frustration with them, and completely oblivious to the current situation with the ijji options of what to do with Gunz and it's current pending doom.

Previously in gunz history, some hackers decided to release specific, and very severe hacks, in the name of 'benefitting' gunz. Admittedly, there was a lot of support for the hack that was deleting other players characters... Because it meant that the MAIET team had to recode and remove a hole.

Stop saying Hackers are here just to kill the game. Thats not there intention, thats just there result.
