In the next update I would like Ijji to improve their uninstaller. I ran a test of it, and it left not only registry keys, but the hg active x controller, and gamegaurd; gameguard being the most anyoing. What do you people think?

it would be nice if ijji improves on those stuff

Yes it would, and it would also help in fixing technical problems, since most of the given adivce to players is to uninstall and reinstall.

GameGuard leaves secret files that can't be removed unless you go to the registry of your computer and delete it manually from there. I really want ijji to have a new anti-hack protection instead of GameGuard, GG seems to FPS lag my computer on all games that use it.

You have to run the Registry from your RUN in the Start Menu. Don't try to do it, it may mess up your computer and you may accidently delete needed files for computer to function.

I completely agree that ijji should part ways with gamegaurd. Not only does it leave its stuff in the registry, but its drivers and masked processes remain aswell, even after removing gunz. Using kerio I experience a BSoD when a certain firewall process is enabled; I uninstalled gunz and then re-enabled that process; the result was a BSoD and the culprit was the GameGaurd still being in the kernel. Not only that, but it also constantly modifies windows processes, and even attempts to end smss.sys which has forced me to do many hard restarts.

Yes, messing with the registry without knowing what your doing can cause major damage. If you search google you can find many free registry cleaners, but even they can sometimes damage your computer. Beside manually doing it myself, I often use RegScrubXP.

Here is the way I used to remove gameguard, and it worked. Perhaps Ijji should compile and host it or make one of their own.

If the uninstaller is indeed leaving these things, it should be updated. Orphaned files can lead to some serious issues, especially when some folks don't know how to deal with 'em. For example, the registry stuff. You'd be amazed how many people mess up their computer trying to sort that out. I can understand a few stray files in a folder? But registry and so forth? Naw. That's a company's responsibility to properly remove via an uninstaller provided.

Sadly most companies don't make a proper uninstaller. Practically every uninstaller I've ever used leaves loads of stuff I have to go find myself.

^Agreed. There are tons of crap uninstallers. Ijji seems to have one installer for ALL games which is uber g@y.
IE: Say I have....Royal Chess?? GunZ, SF, and Stratego or something. I have to use the ijji uninstaller to pick those out. That's no problem. It's when the ijji uninstaller is still there with no games in it and it takes up like 500 MB (No joke) I don't know if I should uninstall or not and etc.

Wow I didn't know that about the single uninstaller; I am currently only using GunZ. And the uninstaller being 500mb after removing a or the games hmmm sounds weird.

Not worth the 30 bucks, especially when many of them don't get proper training >.>

I wouldn't pay money to clean the registry. If you want to clean the registry in general, well I suggest you get a free registry cleaner; such as, RegScrubXp, and just be selective in removing the stuff it shows you; because sometimes it may suggest removing something you don't want to move, but most of the time it's fine. After that you may want to get a free registry defragmenter aswell, but you rarely need to do that; I've done it once, didn't do much.

This makes me think, i personally think the computer is not very good at all because after you "uninstall" you have to go back and delete all those things in the registry
