Chat Overprotective?

Yes,the chat filter is starting to piss me off.I mean you can't say simple words like night.And yet,people still do so much swearing it disgusts me.Maybe the chat filter should be given some thought?Id like a strong and effective one,but not overprotective -.-

So many unnecessary censoring by ijji and other words like god or jesus (No I am not) are censored. I suggest that you GMs should get a player's point of view of this game or at least improve your gaming psychology/philosophy.

I agree with this fully. My friend wanted to make a crew called Night riders but couldn't because of the restrictions. This needs to be fixed.

I have to type it "bas em ent" so people know what I mean.. and then sometimes they think I'm speaking another language... get people going "you know Spanish Daz?" "....no.. read it as one word"

Seriously, I reckon just keep filthy words censored, but don't use the *nig* system.. thats annoying...

Yes the chat censorship is stupid, it censors part of a word not the whole word. For example "nig" (just an example) - You should just censor the offensive word itself and not just a part of it or else you cannot type any word out which has "nig" in it, like night for example. It gets very frustrating trying to talk to people when the censorship butts in on normal words. Quite frankly its just laziness on the moderators part since just doing part of a word is quicker.

The most restrictive filtered words are "nig, "ream" and "***". I didn't even know that ream was an offensive word until I began playing DC.

Some other weird filtered words are: "Mick" and some part of "Laputa" I can't remember what exactly. :confused2:

Ironically, the game doesn't block "arse", which is the proper spelling of the word.

absolutly IJJI saying stupid isnt censored but saying night is or god. seriously NHN and IJJI start listening to us players instead of your stupid programmers who just played for a second and says yep thats sorted when it actually isnt. They arent lazy they have as many games as you more stuff on there web page and much more players but theres forums are blank and player arguements free everyone enjoys it. SF is worse.

Words like 'help' and 'support' are blocked, while ANY blocked word can get past the filter if anything is added inside it, even before and after works as well (though in that case spaces don't work)

Agreed, I'm starting to get a bit ticked off with this new Anti-spam mechanism that activates after a few lines as well. Having to type something over again because a key word was "censored" really discourages flow of information. Perhaps some leniency at this point would be a good thing.
