Also, what kind of lag is it? Internet or screen lag. Try closing down any external unnecessary programs, check your internet connnection, or maybe even turn down your graphics settings.

Anyways, good advice. If that didn't work, try using a wired connection or turning off your Anti-Virus. Worked for me before..
