I see clever and unique comments from people with little or no rep, I see moronic and stale posts from people with their rep bars full and everything in between. At first I thought it might be a good indication as to how much a person has contributed to the community or at least how popular they are, but people get rep and lose rep for all sorts of stupid reasons.

I just think of the people with more bars a little more unique than the other people and more memorable. But I don't really care too much about it. If I like what someone says/does than I'll +rep and vice versa.

(RAWR) Reputation bars= one with nothing better to do or, people feel like annoying them. Think about it, if you give reputation to someone, eventually in time they will be asked in time "OMFGZ HOW JOO' DO TAT?!?!" over and over and over. And they would be targeting for "swapping" reputation. Also, people would idolize them because they think that that person has help people(because when someone helps you you give reputation), and that person would ask them a question. thus furthering the annoyance, I'm going to start doing that now : ) (RAWR)
