View Full Version : Something Needs to be Done.
Ok, I have been playing gunz for a number years now, starting from Igunz and now to NaGunz. When I switched over to NAGunz on iiji i expected to see an increase in the quality of play(updates, quest mode, and hakers), for the most part the game was very good up until the point when for some reason the servers started being swamped with hackers. I remeber the old days when you could go an entire week without seeing a single hacker but it seems lately that you can't go one hour without seeing one.
I dont know if it is thenumber of player who wish to hack, or the lack of action by ijji but the quality of the game has really declined. Thankfully I mainly play in expert channel or cw so hackers dont come around so often, but in the lower channels they are totally destroying it. At one point i witnessed a game with 3 hackers. I know that some stuff is being done with people reporting hackers but I think more needs to be done to discourage others from starting to hack or from continuing. Perhaps taking hacking a step futher then account bans to, ip bans or increaing the number of kicks people are able to use (like the game masters gets 5 instead of 1).I dont know if that will be a good idea, but im just suggesting something to fix this problem. Your suppose To Kick Them. If You cant do that, then threaten to report them. If they still dont budge, leave.

We all know there are hackers. There are always going to BE hackers and if you can't live with them then go play a different game.

I agree that people who do not wish to read these threads should avoid them, however...
Not everyone that plays this game is a customer, and those that do pay do not purchase hack-free play. They buy premium items to use while playing in their hacker-infested game.

But in some ways those who don't buy prems do help the game. They help make the game bigger by populating it. Although ijji is aiming for money, if people aren't satisfied with the game, they wouldn't pay for it. And people have fun by playing with each other.
People having fun=willing to pay for more prems
More people= make game bigger
More people= prem users gifting friends.

Report them, a lot of people do. But does it work immediately?

I can't see how this ties into the point you were making earlier. I was saying that people in this game don't pay for the convenience of there being no hackers.
I would think that since ijji sells items that they would be required to provide a certin level of services, if the game was compleltly free then I would have nothing to say. Also why should I be gotten rid of? because i care about the game enough to give feedback on the current state?
p.s.
I have no clue how the voting system works but i know that usually when I log on 1 get 1 vote, and once thats used up on kicking a hacker one more comes in the room. I think the voting/kick system should be re done to give more control to users, i know that some will probley try to abuse this but what else can be done really?

no i didnt. yes these threads are repeated, but the forum is usually full of trash and spam anyway. if someone wants to express their views and share with the community thats what the forum is for. we dont need some bigshot forum bully here -repping every person for posting threads. esp if the thread is not entirely ************************ed. i've seen way worst threads like OMG LULZ ___ EZPZ, and etc. threads that'd lower your iq by just reading them.

And how would one determine the level of service Ijji is expected to offer? Yes they sell items, but it is at the customers discretion whether or not they want to buy these in a game with hackers. If you don't feel they are providing the service you are paying for, don't spend money on it.

Lukejames will you stop replying the same way to every post, yes you can kick them but it doesn't always work esspecially in quest.
To respond to Maelnin's post, if you look at any of the leading online games that are run by establish companies that in one way or another sells content you will see that they have taken many actions to removing hackers/bots/ or any form of cheating to their game. This is not only to provide a certain amout of service to their customers but also to protect themselves financally as if all the players or if most of them stop playing due to hackers they are losing money. I think someone needs to look at how these games deal with hacker/bots (WoW,Guildwars, Lineage, uhg and even runescape)
