Racist or Abusive names >BAN<

I know im speaking for the majority of people. I am sick that people use abusive or racist names in a VIDEO GAME! Why not play for fun? Its so weird that people do get banned for hacks but for racisme not which is even a bigger issue and is illegal in most country's!

Comments I get from 12 year olds:
"Dude its a joke relax!"
"STFU NOOB I CHOSE MY OWN NAME"
"I GASSS U" aka responce of someone named Adolf Hitler
etc..

Comments I get from wise people:
"I agree people shouldn't make such names"
"Geez what a bunch of wakko's"
etc...

Its just redicilous that people may play with names like Adolf Hitler! Then u think, oh there wont be someone named like him! oh no? here screenshot:

actually that is EXACTLY what it means, the only check it has on it is it cant spread violence or turn into violent conflict, and it cant break any rules or laws placed on speech. see banning hate words and such is a pretty sentiment and id be all for it, but this is reality. you cant stop it. you can go up to a mexican and call him a beaner, or go up to a police officer and say you dont like police and they cant really do much until you break a law. if you say that while under arrest its being beligerant(sp?) to an officer. your right about responsibility but the fact of the matter is, we dont really know what responsible is.

its not something you can stop. no matter how responsible a country is.

I disagree. We can stop it. I speak of her at ijji not in the world as a whole. I am not innocent enough to think that people would stop because I asked them too. IJJI would be well within thier rights to either block the usage of slurs and names, or ban the people who use them. Their ToS is clear about racism. I said that people who can't handle the responsibility should not have it, which means that IJJI should take away some of the freedom that they had previously allowed.

Name abuse is all opinion. I don't see anything wrong with someone naming their character Adolf Hitler. Maybe someone Jewish would take this offensively, but most people wouldn't. Why?

I will explain this for those that are poor at comprehending. Basically, it means the names mean nothing [though there are other meanings that I am aware of]. If I interpreted the name "Rusty" as being offensive, should it be banned? By your logic, yes. By your logic, I could say that EVERY SINGLE NAME IS RACIST and then you would have to ban everyone right?

That is why I chose the second choice on your poll. "Racism" is in the eyes of the beholder. A great example for this is the N word. Please make a more convincing argument than "HITLER IS RACIST" if you want to convince anyone with a decent amount of intelligence.

Calling someone a racist name to provoke them into rioting, or just shouting "Fire!" in a crowded room IS againts the law in America. But ijji isn't America, they can say wether or not they want freedom of speech or not.

-Secondly, Hitler used a minority as a scapegoat to gain support for a war to conquer lands he had no right over. He took it so far as to heartlessly murder them to gain a fearing controll over those who opposed him. He was ANYTHING but a great man.

-Thirdly, Guus (Courl) is absoultly right when he says these brats who think people will love them for making racist names such as bleebity bleep or f-bomb this, or "kill all <minority here> that." Honestly, these people are just 12 year old losers who are outcasted in their schools for being weird and they seek attention by carving into their forheads. Pay no attention to them, and they will leave, searching for a new room to annoy. Just kill him, and don't even regaurd him with a simple "Owned."

-Fourthly, look people outside of America who think they know EVERYTHING about the Iraq war. Incase you haven't noticed, under 20% of our county is actually supporting the darned thing. Please stop saying "Romania is so much better at warring, we fight for a reason" or "Star wars ROCKS more than your war!" We don't care. We all don't support it, so stop being even more racist yourself by thinking every American is a fat-kill all people who aren't our religion-war toating pig. We aren't. So please stop the anti-American racism PLEASE?!

-My personal opinion; GunZ has enough problems with the style wars (D-Style, E-Style, K-Style. Join one, and spend the rest of your days convincing yourself that you're better than everyone else who doesn't use YOUR style.) Do we honestly need to have more people get into bitter fights over skin color, religion, or ethnicity? That's a BIG no. I personally think offensive names should be DELETED and sent back to lvl 0, and after 3 attempts, ban the account.

Racist and abusive names, should, in fact, be banned, but offensive is really a matter of opinion. If IJJI wants to step in and do something about it, so be it.

You realize that separation of church and state was an idea put forth by Jackson, and that it is not really in the Constitution. The only reason it has to be followed right now is because The Supreme court decided it would be fun for them to make laws instead of interpret the constitution.

Truth be told, the entire idea could be challenged using the non-infringement section of the Constitution.

Yes, names aren't that important. If they were, there would be way less people with numbers-for-names. But names that say "<minority here>ShouldDie" or "GasAllThe<Minority>" should be deleted.

Personaly, I don't like the whole "N-word" situation myself. I don't think ANYONE has the right to say it, let alone a single race. The whole idea that who you are or how you were born intitles you more rights to vocabulary is obsurd to me. But that's just my opinion, I mean cmon, I'm just a kid who trys my best use common sense, what do I know?

Basically, it comes down to the tone of the name. If it's something like "<Minority Here> Pride" or something that says you're proud of that, then it's fine. But if the name was intended to describe that persons hate for another person (Such as "KillAll<Minority Here>") - yes, even individuals such as Hitler or Bush (Or if the name is of someone as to express that person's hate for another) - then it should be deleted and set back to lvl 0.
