Because~
1. The fortune cookie said so.
2. Money is given out in colorful red envelopes.
3. No making stupid resolutions that we'll end up forgetting two months into the year.
4. Greater culture= Greater festivities
5. You can use it to tell who's cool and who's not. Whoever's cool will celebrate it X)
6. The Rat will bring us prosperity.
7. There's better food to enjoy. Chinese cuisine #1!
8. The greatest surviving ancient civilization does it.
9. It's not immediately preceded by the disappointment you have in a fat man who failed to deliver your wish list.
10. ijji promotes it hence they created the mouse/rat mask for GunZ.
So, Happy Chinese New Year's! And remember if you don't like it, you can always *guo wo de ji ji.
