Ping 200+

Hey I'm expert11 lvl 57 and i hang around Quest Server 1 alot. I was wondering why my ping has been so high lately. Before the hacking attempt and cannot access server issues ( the times when alot of hackers used to play) my ping was usually 70-130. Now after da cannot access server issue was resolved my ping has been from 200-350 which gets kinda annoyin as i can't kill anyone and half da time i'm kicked out of the games. I cannot cw properly either.

Computer Specs:
2.5 Ghz
256 mb Ram
512 kbps connection speed

Its distance lag, people live too far away from you.

i know why ,there has been a lot of problems in asia and around it cuz there is a line of a net has been cut by a boat or something , my ping sometimes is 200 sometimes 1200 :S ,it was 120-80

For saying some servers run of 80mbs id say yours isnt bad, if your reffering to a routers 54mbs, that isnt the speed.

Make sure you have forwarded your ports. That should help a little, but if your connection is slow anyways, it won't help much.

Its your distance lag, and 256 RAM isnt that much.

distance lag is bs for the most part XD. It is mainly connection. Remember that the interweb is a fast series of tubes. It is not a truck.

is distant lag but if is lower u need a new internet

hmm.i heard about port forwarding but does it really help. I don't think it does, anywayz i can port forward it if i want to but will my ping go any lower....

plus all dese localized versions kinda suk dey have no lag or high pings but deres pracitcally no one on and dey arent any high lvs.

Mate not everyone can get 3mb connection speed where they live. Mines only 1.5 and it works fine.

Well, if he didn't lag before, its probably not his pc. If it were client sided lag, it wouldn't make sense why other players would be kicking him (same with soldierfront) either. Its network trouble. By the way, you don't need a high end pc to play a low quality game like Gunz.

there is no such thing as distance lag. i have 50 ping to people in norway but 300 ping to someone sitting right next to me.

distance has nothing to do with lag.

distance lag doesn't do much, the only big difference i've ever seen was when my friend came to my house and we both played gunz. We usally had 10 ping or lower to eachother.

Utilize your comp and shut the hell up.i have your EXACT specs' and i play fine.Except i'm in america i have 71kbs,and if someone gets 200 to me it's cause my internet is just plain stupid.just clean up your computer.Lazy @$$ O.o

Maybe your downloading something? or um... are you using a router? and like... sharing the same internet connection with someone? try hooking the wire from your modem right to your computer then it should work. :] and if you are still lagging then press ctrl alt delete then end all processes under your user name except for explorer.exe if you end that then the universe will undo itself.

Ad-Aware + HijackThis + SDFix.
No need for Norton or SpySweeper or ANYTHING like that.
Hell, you can even chop off Ad-Aware and just go with the other two.
I don't even have Windows Firewall on. The last time I was infected, the problem was gone in five minutes. xP

ad-aware is REALLY bad when you try to uninstall it though,i got the blue screen of death cause' of it,it rarely happens on my friends comps' though,so go ahead =p

Spybot search and destroy is good for "cleaning" from all of the nastys out there, i have norton( firewall off) spybot and adaware, i love them all <3
