It's hard to go toe-to-toe with an M4 or AK user. The key is to place yourself so that there's only a small gap in which you can actually be hit, and the other guy still has to run at you. Hopefully by then you can spray as desired.

Also, using the scope to your advantage may increase chances of success.

MG36 is best on Nerve imo because of the corridors. It's situationally good on the other maps, except Kinabalu, where it's almost useless.

Why is that? There seems to just be some aura there that keeps me from getting kills with my rambo gun.

Actually, there's a really nice spot outside (for blue team) on nerve. crouched right next to a box on the right, you can cover the entire tunnel doorway while spraying. Take out a whole team in 1 fell swoop.

It is true, M4 and AK or the hardest. Snipers can own them though.

Snipers own them but, if the player uses different positions to come out, burst 3 shots at the sniper, the sniper will slowly die. Confuses the sniper of where the person is. Snipers stay in one position, they seldom move.
But if you're talking about number of times you have to fire, sniper owns M4 and AK.

Basically in the middle area it's too wide open to take advantage, then on the side paths you're just asking to get sniped. May as well snipe or use an AR on that map.

Indeed, there are many nice spots for supressing fire or just spraying into bottlenecks. Nerve is easily my favorite.

Ya sniper i would say is the best gun for kinabalu but if u are good and close sniping i would have to say sniper could be #1 gun. ive tried most of the machine guns and found the p90 as a good second primary to the sniper cuz if u keep losing u could just whip that out the next round and surprise them i did this countless of times

Good point, mg36 is a nightmare when AK users like myself have to reload :cry: .

Ya, JSF players seem to go crazy with that gun, its insane! They won't lay off the trigger, ever.

In my personal experience, I have the hardest time fighting against MG36 at mid range only if I dont kill them within seconds. I kill most MG36 when then have no cover and are open. In response to BLKhand, agree most, but not all snipers just stay in one postion. Fight TactW or Epi and u will see. they are a constantly on the move.
So my advice MG36 users are to:
1. utilize the ammount of ammo u have a constant 2-3sec btwn shots barrage of bullets + behind a box or some cover will prove very usefull in most cases.
2. Like GM_jac said, also my army trainning comes to use. Spaces in which the the enemy must move(or where they pile up) through is called the funnel of death or "fatal funnel"(my army brothers correct me if im wrong but this is the term we used in my unit)
Final Thought, MG36 is a powerful weapon, but accuracy and rate is somewhat its downfall. To fix the accuracy fire where the enemy has little room to move. To fix the rate, fire 2 -3 sec burst shots then when he is open unload on the fool.

Its awsome on missles when they all rush to the small bomb. And you just shoot, I kill 5/7 players once in one round.

i used to have a mg36 but i could only get a few kills with it everyone else was all like
BURN BABY BURN OHHH HOT HOT BURN BABY BURN BABY BURN BURN BURN OHH OH HEY BURN BABY BURN
It's a good gun for camping behind boxes, holding a position or taking on 3 people at once.... unless 1 of those people is me :), my advice for MG users is to support or cover your teammates becuase the weapon isn't that accurate i find, high damage though, or have i got my facts backwards?
And GM_Jaquio, you should put more of a backgrounds on this, like tactics in detail, advice, dos and don'ts? yes, no?

I use an MG36 and it owns everyone...i always get "You're a Wallhacker!!" because i run around the corner shooting anything that moves...and doesnt...i owned that chair....but yeah back to topic...I personally love it because of long range and 100/100 ammo and same dmg as AK... Ive had games where it was me vs 3 others in Satellite and i won because they did same thing... run to left and shoot me... a nade and 50 shots later i win...I also use Shotty for upclose awesome against Snipers...Too bad i get errors when logging in now... Nut yeah...MG36 OOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNSSSS!!!

Actually it's rather simple to kill MG-36 users when they are behind a box.
*When you have sniper:
-you see his head behind a box, he/she starts shooting
-you quickly retreat behind a wall..
-pull your sniper out (PSG-1 most useful) and look around corner quickly
-quick-scope at his head
-* missed: quickly retreat again behind wall, and do it all over again
-* if you shot the guy, go further and own^^
I hate MG-36 because it's to slow, and speed is critical to kill snipers, shoot people in their backs... etc.

Wow, you can like...do that against any gun
Obviously, no ones trying to snipe a sniper with a machine gun, sitting behind the box is for other autos, not only do you have the advantage of cover, you also have the advantage of a scope, and 100 bullets.
To beat you, he sprays where you're hiding,(misdirection) his buddy rounds around back and blows your head off
