I hate that game, I tried it a few years ago and it was so stupid that you have to click and hold the mouse to keep attacking the monster.

Advertisement and irrelevant.

Back to topic: Well I use linksys and before I was using wireless. But after buying a (cannot remember atm, will edit when remember. To be general, a internet cord, but there's a specific name) and pluging it in my modem, I never lag and I'm playing at optimal speed. You could try that.

Well, the only thing I can think of when it comes to high irregular pings is portforward. Good luck, you might want to try a new router :(

(RAWR) Ah... port-forwarding wouldn't help, the firewall shouldn't be causing high pings, if would block the entire thing, resulting in "AE". Lets see... I'd go for other programs STEALINZ JOO' INTERWEBZ., Or other people. Ctrl+alt+delete > processes > kill everything except System Idle process > try again. Or are you using wireless? If so, is your thinger-ma-bob passworded so only you can connect to it? Other people could be logging onto your router and taking your bandwidth. And If none of this works, then You should have the same problem as me if your ping is fine in small rooms.(RAWR)

If he has a DMZ he wont need to port forward

It is good to do both Xd. I have heard people say there is no need quite often, but I know people who have had problems if they don't do both.

Tailsy can I have your connection speed, router model, and comp specs please.

Vista = Start --> Search --> [Type] CMD

XP= Start --> Run --> [Type] CMD

In CMD

1. ipconfig /flush
2. ipcinfig /renew
3 ipconfig /all
