The community in GunZ scares the crap out of me. Here's some thoughts.

I. The Basics
i. This is a Game
This is a game. It is not reality. This is important to remember.
ii. This is a Computer Game
You're playing a computer game. An MMOTPS, to be exact. Insulting people by calling them nerds, dorks, fatties, or nolifers is hypocritical. You're sitting in front of a computer, too.
Unless you're playing via Virtual Reality, in which case OMG WIL U HAVVE MY BABEEES!?!?!!?!?!!111!!!!!~~~~~ *fap fap fap*
iii. This is a Stupid Game
You run around with guns and magic swords, and you pretend to shoot other people with guns and magic swords. Or maybe you're shooting goblins, or skeletons, or... Whatever the flying **************** those kobold things are. Do you know how stupid that is?
I mean, yes, it's fun. I love this game. But seriously. ************************ed. This is another important point to remember. This game is not your life.
iv. You're Not That Cool
The coolest nerd is still a nerd. And he will still get pounded by the jocks at school. Eventually he'll go to university and make more money than the jock, but until that happens, he's just a nerd.
YOU ARE A NERD PLAYING A STUPID COMPUTER GAME.
See what I'm getting at? Arrogance is not at home in GunZ.
II. The Games
i. Deathmatch
A bunch of people running around fighting each other. It is inevitable that your opponent will be shot by eleven different people. 'Kill Stealing' is a part of Deathmatches. Don't ******************** about it.
Related to not ********************ing, don't ********************. Period.
ii. Team Deathmatch
Remember, the people with the name above their head - they're on your team.
team /tim/ [teem]
–noun
to gather or join in a team, a band, or a cooperative effort (usually fol. by up, together, etc.).
Cooperative effort. Work together. Holy freaking crap. When they run out of the Defence zone of an Attack & Defence game screaming 'OMG THREE ROCKET PEOPLE DUDE HAS AVENGER II NEED MEDS', give him some. And then go help. Work together. Maybe, just maybe, work out a strategy. And if they're in a 1v1, don't pop in and steal their kill. Let your teammates get credit for their work.
On the other hand, in a fullon 3v3, you might not get the kill you're looking for it. Deal with it, move on.
iii. Quest
Please, please, learn the normal tactics for Quest. And unless otherwise stated, follow them. Don't bring shotguns on Quest, it's just stupid. You NEED a spray weapon, or you'll quickly run out of ammo. And then you look like an IDIOT. The Lich King is hard to Butterfly.
III. The Styles
i. kStyle
Swords. Heh. Everyone uses swords, everyone uses kStyle. You are not special just because you can do what everyone else can. There's not much I can say about this. Learn the moves if you must, just don't brag. Get good, join Ocean, or whatever.
ii. dStyle
This is my style.
Stab -> Stab -> Stab -> Stab -> Dash -> Shoot -> Stab -> Stab -> Shoot -> Dash -> Stab -> Shoot -> Run -> Run -> Run -> Run
It seems simple because it is. This does not mean it's lower than kStyle, or that it's for noobs only. If you see a dStyler, praise them for being willing to try something different. dStyle can be extremely effective in the right hands. If dStylers are noobs, kStylers are shallow posers and wannabes.
iii. 'eStyle'
'eStyle' - if it can be called a style - is GunZ the way it was meant to be played. Little to no fancy stuff. Yes, beginners use this. However, I have seen eStylers demolish entire teams of kStylers - not with fancy move, with tactics. And yes, that means running away and Peanut Buttering around a corner. The few people who have mastered doing nothing special are GOOD. Respect these people.
IV. The Weapons
i. Generica
Two shotguns. LAME. I mean, yes, it works. But it's also unoriginal, and it doesn't work at long range. It's also incredibly devistating up close. Don't get mad because you're getting raped by sprayers in Dungeon. Change your weapons.
ii. Spray Guns
All people lag. See their ping? That is lag. Spray guns make hitting laggers easy, which is the real reason people complain about their use. Consider not complaining and getting your own SMG/Rifle/MG instead. They do work.
iii. Precision Guns
Pistols, revolvers, and rifles to some extent. I get called a noob frequently for my Pistol/Pistol and Pistol/Rifle combos. I get this even more when I kill these said people from the opposite side of Town with a headshot.
iv. Boom Stuff
Rockets, grenades. Using these effectively requires no skill. Using them more effectively than that kStyler is using their double shotguns requires a lot of skill. If you are getting killed by a rocketeer, they're not a noob - they just have more skill with their weapons than you do with yours.
V. What This Means
i. Get Over Yourself
Get over yourself. Seriously. There is ALWAYS someone who can whoop your ************ in a 1v1. You will never be the best player. And if I put a real gun in your hands and dropped you in Iraq, you would, as the Nac Mac Feagle say, kek your kaks.
ii. Other People Are People, Too
People don't like being called noobs. They don't like being told to stfu or gtfo. Whatever happened to 'If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything'? If they're not as good as you, don't insult them because they haven't nolifed as much as you, or they can't mash buttons quite as fast as you.
iii. Have Fun
Since (oh, let's say) the turn of the century, gamers have been losing sight of fun. Damn. You will enjoy yourself the most if you can find that balance of the fun you have, and the fun everyone else has. I've noticed two types of games during my play:
Games where everyone has fun. They kill each other while talking, they steal kills, they drop off the top floor of Mansion, massive you, and Peanut Butter you into a bloody pile.
Games where a couple people are having fun. Generally, a couple of kStylers with huge epenes, doing Triple Butterfly and raping everyone. They generally spout things like 'noob', 'lol dagger noob', 'lol spray noob', 'lol kStyle wannabe', 'lol noob', 'gtfo noob', and 'pwned nub'. They're having fun, everyone else is there to kill them and prove they're not a nub. These games suck.
If you are nice to people, you will feel better, they will feel better, it will be an enjoyable experience.

i. The Guide
Why did I write and post this? I dunno. I'm pissed. The community of GunZ is on par with that of World of Warcraft and RuneScape. I just wanted to point out some things, and hopefully get one or two people to be a bit nicer in GunZ.

Yeah, I'm a nerd. Total dork. I'm 15, and I build custom computers for money. I'm fit, I have good friends, I have a girlfriend, and I'm graduating next year with a C+ average. I enjoy myself. I haven't gotten angry at anyone or anything in years. I live the life. So bring on the rude comments. =D
