View Full Version : Handing out of Quest items not fair!!!(GM PLZ READ)

This has happened to me loads of times. In dungeon, i always wanted a skeleton doll. When I finally picked up one, I don't get it at the end of the quest and i find that it ended up with someone else. And if I picked up a lot of items, I will get only like 1-3 items in the end.:cry: Can any GMs who read this please fix it or something? This problem is freaking me out. I haven't gotten a skeleton doll till now...:doh:Oh yeah and I read a previous thread, one guy said play with a guy that you trust. Even if I do that, that doesn't change the fact that I did not get the items. If I DO play with a guy I trust and he gets the items, at least create a system where you can give someone else something.

I beleive the system is that the person who kills the monster that drops it recieves the item. Completely fair really.

As far as I know and after plenty of questing, I found out that it is more random.

But if you killed it, and picked it up, I think there may be higher ratio of getting it from my experience, but still it is more like random.

fine >.< meet me at quest 1 and whisper me. I do feel guilty leaving it. (but I was tired cuz it was like 3 AM in the morning and besides I experienced so many ppl ditching the large skulls. Hopefully I didnt hurt your feeling >.<)

Random is fine,

Since everybody damage the monsters a bit.. mostly
Second, if the item drops it will prevent from everybody trying to steal your items.

Random is fine, Internet is Random , I am Random, the world is RANDOM

Wow...It's random so it can be fair. If you picked up all the chests that your teammates left behind would it be fair? NO, ****ing noob.

well, if they dont want to pick it up its their problem. and no offensive language, please.

uhh lol i don't think that's true in like 8 large skulls and in 2 games we got 2 large skulls each of them and i killed/picked all of them up and it not even one went to me so yeah xD

Its pretty wack how the items get split.Thats why I hunt for items on my own.

I think each monsters spawns to a character and who ever the monster spawned to get items that it drops you notice when there is a lagger in the game only someone of the monsters are lagging(u need like 300+ ping to see clearly) but i don't like questing with laggors so its unconfirmed

nah... it's fair right now...

if everybody get what they pick up... then everybody will be dying for chests and everybody will try and kill the mini-boss for the item.

quest is about teamwork... not about 4 people fighting over with items...

I guess ur right... but the unfair thing is that i might get only 1 item if i picked up a lot... that really pisses me off...

what i think is why not everyone gets the same item when you complete quest instead of splitting them... after all it says quest team recieved such and such item..

Good points there. It would become chest-hunting if you got what you collected, but if you collect al the chest including a lot of dolls and a large skull and only got one doll and like 10 small skulls it feels so unfair.

IMHO, Random is the best until someone comes up with a better system.


Edit: Hmmmm..I was playing Dungeon with 3 other players. We killed all enemies on the last stage, but there was an invisible enemy left. Everyone left cuz either they didn't know what was going on or they got bored. Anyway, I found the last enemy and finished the stage alone, but got no items :o And I personally collected at least one chest and noticed that other chests were picked up too.

So how...or when is it calculated who gets what? Just wondering....

They need to either decrease the randomness, and/or increase the drops, BUT SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!!!!

The system is that everyone gets a 1/4 chance, depending on how many players in a game, (2 people is 1/2 chance or 50%). So, even if you pick it up, you only have 25%-100% of getting it.

The only way you could make the handing out completly fair would be if:

1 > At the end of the round all the items are arranged by value
2 > each player was given a random number so if there was 3 questers, they get either 1 2 or 3

3 > items are shared in order
quester with number 1 gets items 1 4 7 and so on
quester with number 2 gets items 2 5 8 and so on
quester with number 3 gets items 3 6 9 and so on

advantage is everyone gets more or less the same ammount of items with similer values, of course if they one get 1 ultra item only 1 person would get it but cant help that

dissadvantage is people who do nothing will get a good share, but to be honest, why are you playing with them?
