I think, honestly, everyone, deep down, doesn't have complete trust in any of the candidates after the election. That is whoever wins, but we do have hope. We just choose the best dummy as all elections go in reality.
A leader won't exactly always do things the way you like them and they must understand that they can't please the world. To try and please everyone will only bring about a disaster.
I wish to propose an idea since the ministry selection is such a big deal. How about everyone recommend someone they know in-game to be a minister? The person you selected may not be chosen as a minister, but it raises the options. I know that there are a lot of people out there who can qualify for ministers. I bet there are people on this forum who wish to be one, but are too afraid to say so because they're too busy worrying about what other people think.
Oh yes, understand that even if you recommend someone to be a minister and say "why," that person may not wish to be one. So try and get some consent from the person you wish to recommend.
