View Full Version : NPC's can't be countered

Meanwhile I've been questing I've noticed a annoying thing. No matter what you do to a Npc but you can't counter it, Example: if a mage starts casting a fireball (holding his hand up) and you if flip him, hit him, what ever, you can't counter him. Even if it's dead and he was cast it, it will still be casted. Same for the melee NPC's. If you dodge towards a normal player it will get countered, but if you try this agianst a NPC they just continue attacking.

I'd suggest to post your oppinion about this, And also I'd love to hear if this could be fixed once

Just like kstyle, once the attack animation started, the damage still happens no matter what. If they fix that it will also fix kstyle I think. The only thing you could do something about, is the melee attacks and only if you have a sword to block.

What you can do is get used to how the melee monsters move and just slightly move out of range so you wont be jumping around the whole place, which could be a bad thing.

For mages, just walk in one direction, left or right. Not left and right because you will only get hit by everything they shoot if you do.

yet they kill/hurt me when they are dead. This is a problem that unfortunately probably will not be fixed.

Players also get semi-stunned from a massive strike don't they? I noticed that the monsters don't so when I block them and do my instant massive I just end up getting sliced up because of the delay. Pretty much sucks since I'm not interested in learning the whole kstyle thing yet.

let me tell you a sad story about this.

i was playing goblin king with some poeple, i was the last one left, no ammo, jsut my trusty dagger by my side. i ended up killing it with my dagger as it was preparing to shoot the three fire balls. jsut my luck i was hit in the back by the 3rd fireball, died , and got no items and a loss.

i olny blame myself for not realizing it but still that should really not happen

but... you can just circle strafe around npcs and they will do nothing but run in circles...

Ya, kinda sucks when they are already dead and they still damage you...that's why I prefer to shoot them
