Hi-- Just built myself a new comp, but Gunbound doesn't recognize my Sapphire Radeon video card. It says to download drivers but I am running the LATEST drivers available.

Message code 310
ATI Catalyst 8.342 2/2/2007
Windows XP Pro SP2
Latest DirectX as of 2/2007

Any ideas on a workaround or an ETA on a fix?

Hmm, you do not need a video card for gunbound. You can use the motherboard's and CPU graphics. Anyways make sure you bought the correct video card for your motheboard.. Dont get this wrong "because it hooks" it means is the rite one for your motherboard it depends on the chipset and "pin number"

In other words your video card might not be compatible with your motherboard that is why is not recognizing it.

Also make sure you did the bios set up "the drives configuration"

nope, it works fine with every other game. I think it's a software issue.

you can't use the motherboard's graphics when it doesn't have built-in video :-)

Thanks anyways.

i have a sapphire radeon (x1600pci-e) as well, and the compatibility with gunbound is minimal, at best.
i can run it, but alttabbing or turning up the advanced settings is not such a good idea.

really? I have an x1300... I'm about to try slightly older drivers.... so now I know not to expect much

thanks for the heads up...

I hope the GB team will fix this soon... :-(

I'll post whatever result I get.

Try to get older drivers, latest sometimes aren't better than older ones.

I Am Not Sure If You Can Download The Old Drivers From The Official Website, Maybe If You Look Deeply On The Website You Will Find Them, Try One (If You Find) If Not Get Another One, Until It Works :)

Try to get older drivers, latest sometimes aren't better than older ones.

Update: Problem resolved Got it working using slightly older drivers. All graphics work perfectly now and the game launches.

working driver info:
Catalyst Suite 6.6
Driver Ver 8.263
