cant play gb i need help! [Archive]

when i go on ijji and click play live for gb .. it goes until gameguard comes up and then it does go past the "status" or "resolving" part.. and retry comes in in the bottom left corner.. anyone help?

I fixed my problem w/ Maplestory's GameGuard in the same way.

This is probably if your using Windows XP, if your using some other OS, make sure you find the hosts file, it may be in a different location, but its there.

First go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Then, right click the hosts file (its name hosts, not hosts.bho, or hosts.ms, just HOSTS).

Go to properties-->Uncheck "Read Only"

Then, open the hosts file with Notepad, and edit it, deleting ALL lines EXCEPT
127.0.0.1 localhost

which should be the first line. Delete EVERY OTHER LINE, DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT delete the LOCALHOSTS line.

Then, go to File-->Save

Then right click the hosts file and check "Read-Only" again.

Then just play the game. GG should update and you should be able to run the game fine.

If it doesn't, I don't know how to fix it :P
