How to resolve "HanStarter path could not find" error.

Please be aware that these steps must only be performed by computer experts. Do not attempt to change anything in the registry if you do not know what you are doing.

Run registry editor ( regedit.exe )
How to run:
> Windows Start Menu > Run > type in regedit

> Go to > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > HanGame.Com >ENGLISH

> If "(Default)" is the only thing that appears, please delete the HanGame.Com folder.

> Once you have done so, your game should begin.

hmm...actually I followed all those steps and went to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
went to "Hangame.com" and under "ENGLISH", I saw U_GUNZ & U_SF
I just deleted the "U_SF" folder and soldier front worked for me...
hope this helps, not that I think it'll help very much...ah well, I'm glad I can get on anyway ;)

Well what do you know, I deleted the Hanstarter.com thing and I clicked "Play Live"
Everything was going good until it went to the SF screen and just froze on it playing the music, I couldn't do anything so I had to restart the computer.

Now, according to the instructions on the first page, it says: If "(Default)" is the only thing that appears, please delete the HanGame.Com folder

Now, "Default" is the only thing that appears in the Hangame.com folder, but not in the Hangame.com/ENGLISH folder as you can plainly see.

Yet I still get this error.

Now, if I delete the Hangame.com folder, I have to redownload, if I delete ANYTHING in those folders, I have to redownload.

So, that makes me belive that there is yet another error with this hangame bug and this post should not say "resolved" since it quite obviously is not.

If it were just me, I would chalk it up to my own stupidity, but it seems lots of people in this thread have this issue as well.

It din't resolve,infact im sorry i even signed in in your website you can't jsut tell people to mess with their registry and even with your steps it doesn't work,either it tells me harvester intial fail -17 and after this errore i get errore which says user serial wrong sometthing like that it still doesn't work.........

Everyone is rebooting their machine AFTER uninstalling and BEFORE reinstalling correct?

I myself only came across this problem once when my roomie was downloading some music and eating up all the bandwidth. As soon as he stopped, it worked fine again.

Also, if you dont know much about computers.. I would edit NOTHING in the registry. Kind of surprised this is being recommended by the "management" here.

This kinda sucks cause you can't have Kwonho installed on your computer and playing soldierfront.
Installing Kwonho brings this bug and than you can't play soldierfront.
And when u delete that HanGame file you will need to reinstall Kwonho again.

1) You must be logged in as Administrator.
2) If you have installed KwonHo you will need to uninstall it.
3) Delete Soldier Front
a) Within the C: drive please look for the ijji folder and click on it.
b) Within the ijji folder you will see the ENGLISH folder click on it.
c) Inside the ENGLISH find the folder labeled u_sf right click on the folder icon and delete it


Run registry editor ( regedit.exe )
How to run:
Go to Windows Start Menu Select Run > type in regedit - Click OK

Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Click + to expand the folder
Find Software > Click + to expand the folder
Find HanGame.Com > click + to expand the folder
Find ENGLISH > click + to expand the folder

> If "(Default)" is the only item that appears, please delete the HanGame.Com folder.

ok im also getting the same problem from alot of other players. it seems SF will creat the error hanstart when Kwanho is also installed. furthermore by following your instructions, the error is fixed for SF but the kwanho dosnt work and needs to be installed again. please look into this matter because this affects ijji.com reputation. gamers should be able to switch play all games from ijji and not just SF or kwanho. thank you gm for your time. we all gamers appreciate your help and hopefully this issue will be resolved. again thanks

Not a fix, but a functional workaround. I've tested it and know that it works.
Assumes you have both SF and KH installed and are able to play KH but NOT SF...make sur eyour system is structured thus, that is, SoldierFront AND KwonHo installed, KwonHo playable and SoldierFront producing HanStart Path not found error message.

::Start ->Run... ->regedit
::navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HanGame.Com
::Right click and choose Export...choose a name for the reg file (I went with KwonHo.reg) and save to desktop
::now the part that may make some choke, but do it anyway, trust me...DELETE the HanGame.Com entry from the registry.

At this point, you should be able to play SF but trying to play KwonHo will result in live install starting, so don't try to play KwonHo until you follow the rest of these direction...


Now that you've tested SF out by logging in and playing a round or two, if you want to play KwonHo, it's easy...right click on the KwonHo.reg file on your desktop and choose "MERGE"...when you get the confirmation dialog, you can play KwonHo but not SF.

No restarts required. No uninstalls/reinstalls required. Not a fix, but ceratinly better information than the GMs have offered up for a problem I haven't even seen them yet acknowledge. Play hard, have fun!!

ok i think i found a temp. fix for this error NOTE:you have to have the following:windows XP,an extra profile on windows xp(which will probabaly from then on be your gaming profile.all you really have to do is play SF on the other profile and it should work.also i dont think you can have kwonho installed for this to work right.

How to run:

EVERYONE Here is the solution I have found on playing Soldierfront with KwonHo installed and not having any errors.

Ok this may not work for some of you, but it will work for others.

1. Run regedit.

2. Located the "HK_CURRENT_USER" registry.

3. Find "Software"

4. Find "HanGame.com"

5a. When you want to play Soldierfront, rename "HanGame.com" to something else.

5b. When you want to play KwonHo, rename it back to "HanGame.com"

to avoid this simply rename the hangame.com folder HanGame and start your game, it should work. then when you wish to play kwonho rename it to HanGame.com and you will not need to redownload anything. its not perfect but it saves alot of time

Grrr.... I've been trying to get back to playing SF all day... Umm, where to begin...

Alright, so I guess I'll start at the beginning... (that's always a good place) I was playing SF fine this morning, then I logged off did a windows update and restarted my computer like normal. After I restarted the computer, I left it alone and my sister got on and stumbled onto a performance boost site (didn't download anything there apparently though). She said that she said one of the tips said something about terminating processes and I guess she went a little crazy with that...

After I heard her scream, " The window bar thingy is gone!!! HELP!" I went over and saw that the tool bar was gone so I rebooted the computer and comforted my sister with such words as, "You are ************************ed and worthless..." She seemed to understand.

Blah blah blah later on, I tried to play SF again, and when I tried to get on I got an error with a header of 0018000C and read, "Windows cannot find the specified file"

After an hour of uninstalling and reinstalling I found this thread, did the instructions with regedit; I found everything just fine and deleted the hangame.com folder... then tried to get SF going again but I got the same error again.

I read through the thread a little bit more and found a couple of posts saying it was in another location in addition to the current user, so I did away with that hangame.com folder as well.

Then I reinstalled and repeated the process a TON of times and I still have made no progress what so ever and I do NOT have the kwono-whatever game installed...

PLEASE RESPOND GM'S.... I'd like to play SF again before I die of old age waiting for someone to respond...

Open Registry Editor [Start -> Run -> regedit -> OK]

Cant unistall SF,cant find anymore lunia files.....


IS IT MUST FORCE ME TO RE-FORMAT MY COM!?

i think i know what to do


First: Download the "Lunia",Save in any place you like.
Second: Unistall the "Lunia"
Third: Unistall the SF
Forth: Install back the SF

It might quite waste time but for SF,DO IT!!!! (Reminder:Maybe can skip the thrid step&I still not tried this method,if the computer KA-BOOM,don blame me,ty)

I got a different but also about Han says someting about HKCU>>Could not find path>>HanGame.com something like that there also HKML someting like that.I did what you told to did and theres no HanGame.com folder please help!!

Erm, i don't know mate, but i just cleaned my whole comp etc. (it crashed a few days ago, so) well, i install SF , i click play.. Purplebean and Gameguard load.. Aaaand.. I get this error :

HanStarter Path can't be found.

Reinstalled game 5 times now.. Halp plox.

And if it's so.. where the heck is the HanGame.com folder? o.O

Run registry editor ( regedit.exe )
How to run:
> Windows Start Menu > Run > type in regedit

> Go to > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > HanGame.Com >ENGLISH

> If "(Default)" is the only thing that appears, please delete the HanGame.Com folder.

> Once you have done so, your game should begin.

omg dude everytime im about to play sf this thing called soldierfront.exe pops up and i press clsoe cause thats the only thing to press and it cloeses down SF! help me plz GM!!!!
