View Full Version : [PSA] Trading Kills for Premiums
Namaru
05-09-2008, 01:35 PM
This is a public service announcement from the good people at Namaru, injecting you with words from my mouth since 2007.
As many people may or may not be away, exchanging killing yourself with another player in hopes of leveling faster is against the rules and a completely waste of time (it's not fun, what's more fun is actually playing the game). However, there is a growing trend of the idealogy of gifting someone premium items in exchange for killing them countless times.
Unless someone gives you the items in advanced (at which point, feel free to double-cross them and ignore them, parading away with your 'hard earned' items), you have no idea and it is 100% impossible to know completely that they are really going to follow through and gift you the items you want or what they say they will. In the end, you could end up with 200 more deaths and a huge chunk of your life completely wasted away. If you report such claims to a GM, you will be laughed at and shrugged off lightly, perhaps even with a glorious EXP lock or ban under your belt.
In the end, it's not worth your time to try and believe people over the internet, especially a community like this.
Be smart. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

oooooo, but but I thought I could trust everyone as long as I don't know them, their name, or anything else about them.
I was under the impression that this was the best basis for trust...

Lol @ Injecting you with words.....ow
The only downside is....no one who does this will ever see it. Gm's need to spam it in the lobby so everyone sees it.

You can leave out the Mt. Dew if you throw in a Reese's peanut butter cup, and picture of a small hairless warthog named Mr. ZiggybonesquareheadlittlefaceIRprobegger.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed...but Stickies are actualy extremely useless...
Have you nitced the amount of threads of people trying to reprt hackers by uploading their GZR files to some site...Or posting pics...Thinking" OO tha must be how you report, wow i'm so smart!"
People never actualy look at stickies, they never chek for updates on the stickies. Most people don't even know how to correctly fill in a report. There is a fully detailed guide on how to report hackers in a stickie amde by GM)_Xander, but no one even bothers to chek it out.
As for people scamming, getting banned or EXP lock will teach them first hand not to do such dumb things. There is no point of being a high level, because once you get to the next cannel, people will be 50x better then you'll complain hat you level too slow, swap somemore and then cry
"OMFG I'M BANNED! ALL I WAS DOING WAS SWAPPING IJJI YOU SUCK *tear tear sniff sniff*

Well you just need to make one against begging as well. Then you can label them 1, 2, &3. Give directions to read the next one, and provide a link =).
