It has been a sad sight to see the Elite Channel lately in Stairway. I probably will get flammed for this but I think it neds to be said. This is Elite Channel people, not beginner's channel, I don't know why I see people sitting by that one single corner (If you played the level you know what I'm talking about) and hiding flipping people as they go by, then say they "owned j00". It gets actually very annoying especially when they start downloading stuff and cause themselves to lagg on purpose so they cannot get flipped back. This is starting to really suck the fun out of the Stairway level and is very ignorant. I personally use dual revs and don't flip anyone on purpose, maybe once or twice I'll admit. But come on people, stop swapping and doing this and ruining the Elite Channel, and sorry if anyone disagrees with me.

Its also a sad sight to see the Stairway constantly in Expert and Veteran channel...

I agree, with the "Lag to not flip back" part, but... The flip over the edge is a strategy, and people will continue to use it, since it gives a quick kill with no effort. A lazy persons kill.

*Thumbs down to stairway*

I have an extremely fast connection. Which ironically gets me flipped half the time because I connect to the peer2peer thing faster. Which causes the flips. I can't flip anyone, so I avoid stairway XD.

Yes me too, and I am quite close to the server, so people who are farther take like 2 flips from me to get flipped, I get taken out in 1, and I could be like pretty darn far away! >,.,< That would suck to be a GM and have 8 ping cause ur RIGHT next to the server Lol.

Actually, for flipping, you also need to lead. I partially disagree. If they're downloading something to make their ping go to about... 150, let's say. Then, when you press tab, next to his name, under ping, is 150. When he pressed tab, next to your name, under ping, is 150 as well. Whatever ping someone has to you is what you have to them.

I do agree, though, that stairway sucks and the flipping.

Yes but as we have mentioned before, it doesn't go both ways. If they are dling something, their lets say they were bullets. We start off with guns, and I am closer to the target than the other person, we both have the same gun and are firing at the wall at the same time, obviously my bullet is gonna get there faster? See but what if I got a faster gun (Since I can't recall there being slower guns) like a rifle or something, then who do you thinks is gonna get their first? Just imagine this an a huge scale. (Thought the analogy was appropriate for thegame :P)

J3ff4ya i agree with you completely. it really ticks me off when all players do is flip. Stairway is one of my least fave maps atm now. only because of the 'noobs' that try taking advantage of the map. i go into a Stairway game and i immediately see people constantly uppercutting. this map should be played like every other map (Mansion, Town, etc.). not really Dungeon because i see people flipping each other there too. but not as much as Stairway.

I don't like the fact that MAIET put heals into Stairway either. It's always the same stuff, flip flip flip, get shot, run and heal, come back, flip flip flip. Especially when your fighting someone else and people come up behind you and flip you then call you noob....

Gunz is not network coded server side, it's client side, so it doesnt matter how close to the server you are, the person you are fighting, it depends on their distance from you, and how good their connection is, thats why the lower pings, you come to find they live in the same country or closer.

If it was server side, things would be tons diff.

This is true, but still people farther from the server, aren't hit as much as people closer because they don't have as good connections.

I think they should put stairway in expert channel because no one is ever in the elite chanel except afks and swappernoobs

Actually I'm sorry, this is not true. GunZ is not peer2peer, or else we would need to connect and enter our IPs and such, which we don't. We all connect to a giant server hosted by NHN, who hosts many different projects besides Ijji, because they develop other stuff. I am surprised Ijji acts like it cannot afford much when they are located in Mountain View, which is a very rich neighbourhood, $330,000 a month, just for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom place.

No way,are you serious? That means ijji is a millionaire!!If thats true...why do they need our money for? They should just give out premium items.

I am also wondering if the GMs / CSRs are rich too, because it is one of the most expensive neighboorhoods in the bay area. Most of the companies for games are located in the bay area though. My stepmom works for Intel, which works with a lot of the companies up there. She informed me about ijji and how it's a gian Portal (The site) and NHN is a huge company that owns many smaller companies that do multiple tasks. And also which is why I know that GunZ is not peer2peer, so please stop saying, distance goes both ways, NO. And yes really, I was planning to go out there but then saw the prices..
