I don't think hacking is bad at all. I don't think of hacking as a derogatory term. Hacking was taken out of context by the media and turned into something bad. I believe that hacking means building hardware and figuring out how things work. Hacking is seeing if there are ways to use different types of technology in ways that they were never meant to be used.It could and is used for homeland security and such.

2 kinds of hacking.

White Hat hacking : Hacks things and looks for errors and bugs, will tell the developers how to fix to make an improved service.

Black Hat Hacking : If they hacked something they gonna abuse, destroy and erase it.

hackers in GunZ = Omfg :( ( hack=bad)


Edit : Also the mostly people are HackUsers, because they download and use it.

If Phun etc. hacks for a better service, like telling Ijji where the problems are in this game it could be very secure.

Hacking used to be another term for "programming", but today, it means to reverse programming for skewed purposes.

they are called hackers, but as shiny said black hats hack to abuse and destroy, and white hats hack to find bugs then tell the devs how to fix. grey hats hack to find errors and bugs just to know them. they dont tell people how to fix them, i guess its just for fun.

The gunz "hackers" are actually using memory editing to let you do stuff you couldnt normally do. thats why these "hacks" only allow the user who is using them be affected by the editing, thus giving them an advantage.

insane massive for example, has an adress that you can exploit by using a tool(im not saying anything because it would be against the rules.) editing the adress with the "tool" lets you have an infinite trail of massives in front of without using the attack. I used to hack igunz for a short time when mplvlers were there. I met the creator of the original mplvl named (cant say name either or he might get banned) we both agreed that he was an idiot for releasing that so we started to spam mplvl channels. he actually had a buffer overrun hack that would give them 1 kill then crash ther whole computer. he would tell me to leave the channel cuz he could crash the entire thing.

he told me about C++ and how certain commands were exploitable in this game. now exploiting the game's own commands for your own gain. thats what i call hacking. mplvl was finally patched forever by ijji because they are smart and disabled the command to restart the game.

hacking can be bad, if you are a black hat. or it could be good if your a white hat. but most of the gunz hacking on this game is just memory editing.
