Hello Everyone,

As of 7:00PM (PDT), we have fixed the play live issue. There was a conflict with Norton and we have made the changes on our side to resolve the issue. If you are still experiencing any problems with Play Live, please let us know. You can either reply to this thread or send a ticket to helpdesk. (Helpdesk preferred)

Some users may experience a blank screen when pressing the Play Live button. Refresh your browser and the Play Live button should work.

Does anyone know if there's a way to start up GR without the play live button?

For some reason when I click the Play Live button, it does nothing and at the bottom of the browser there's an error that says javascript:void(blahblah)

I've noticed that a LOT of people are having the same problem, but I have yet to see a GM even give any sort of attempt to help out.

I've tried refreshing the browser, I uninstalled and reinstalled the java thing, and I've exited out of both my AVG and Ad-Aware.

Can someone PLEASE help me come up with a solution to this problem?

Gah. This problem really needs to be fixed. I am also having the javascript issue with the Play Live button. It applies to all games. I do not even have a antivirus program installed (for I have recently re-formatted my drive.) The Play Live button was working perfectly 2 days ago...please help. I just wanna play again.

Um...Guys. You are supposed to see "javascript:void(getLaunchScript('u_gbound', ''));" displayed on IE's statusbar when your mouse cursor is on Play Live button. That is how hyperlink works in HTML.

i deleted npgmup.des from my gameguard folder and then turned off my anti-virus program.

and BAM! it worked

fckin christ, ive been unable to play for weeks. ive System Restored twice, reinstalled Java and DirectX, uninstalled and reinstalled Gunbound about 4 times, and the damn Play Live button still wont work. It still says done, but with errors on page, and im gettin pretty sick of this. why cant Gunbound just be like it used to be in World Champion??

I miss the old Gunbound... Gunbound NA was the downfall of it all.

^ if you click play live and nothing happen you're "supposed" to go to ur C:/windows/downloaded program files folder then delete the plugins that is involved with ijji or download that ijji plugin remover then close all ur browsers then go to gunbound site again to have it reinstall

that takes care of the play live problem but when you get into the game you would get another error message saying you idled too long or some connection problem

Well its been a while sense i played gunbound but i suddenly had and urge to get my butt kicked so i tried to sign in , had an install active x for some reason which is odd because i played this before , Anyways after updateing my game and logging in when i click to go into a game it says

"A game hack was detected and will now close" or something like that and closes the game on me
now i had this with Rakion (how ever spelled) i didnt think much of it at the time cause it too updated and people told me the game had some issues ..i planed on reinstalling it later on but with gunbound now doing the same thing and there by the same people it seems it is them

No i dont have a hack or anything like that but i do have nortan and could this be causeing the issues?

i would like to play again so advice would be welcome

I go into the game, i click play live and nothing happends. ive restarted, rebooted, reloaded ie and firefox and still nothing. ive tried downloading a new verison of Internet Explorer and still no change. ive also tried going into c/windows/downloaded program files and deleting everything from there and then reloading. when i load back up, i delete all temporay files, i have no pop up blockers on, no anti virus, and it says " this site might require the following ActiveX control : HGPlugin11USA.cab from NHN corp." i install that activex back in and it still does nothing. i click play live after my account info is put in and it will not load anything. ive tried opening it in another brower and it gives me an error load page. everything else works just fine except this game and it really is starting to upset me. someone needs to fix this problem and fast.

Download the ijji GamePluginRemoval Tool here (http://gamedownload.ijjimax.com/gamedownload/dist/ijjigamepluginremovetool.exe.zip). Then go back to GunBound Revolution (http://GunBound.ijji.com)'s main page. It should prompt you to download ActiveX controls and other plugins. Download them.

Then the Play Live button should work.

When I go to the gunbound site. I try to click play live, nothing happens. So I close IE and run the removal tool. I then go back to gunbound and reinstall the Active X control , sign in then it works. IT NEVER WORKS THE FIRST TIME. But it always works the second.
If I use the removal tool then reset. When I log in, I re-DL it and it doesnt work. I then have to close IE, re-open , reinstall Active X, then it works.

Can't we simply get a self opening file? And not have to go through the website.

HI! I GOT THROUGH THE "UNREGISTERED ID ERROR" TODAY!

I tried reinstalling the game using Ijji's new "auto-installer" program... Only to realize that Gunbound had files in two places in my hard drive. Why? Because I installed in a different directory than the one Ijji suggested. So, I tried installing in "C:\Ijji\ENGLISH", as suggested in the installer.

It happens with some of those quick updaters that don't search for the installation folder! ;) I knew it! Hehe! I hope it helps some of you guys!!

same... i've tried uninstalling + reinstalling plugins, the game, the launcher .. i've done it all . but when i click Play Live it checks installed files, Then when it gets to downloading skin, or even sometimes before it gets to the skin .. It crashes and i get a ' Send / Do no send' error report.

Can you please Post a fix on the website sometime soon .. because this is quite annoying . thanks in advance

i have a problem with the play live button too but it's different. i have a standard account with vista and everytime i try to "play live" it asks me to install NyxLauncher.exe from an "Unidentified Publisher". but since i have a standard account, it asks for an administrators password so i have to get my dad to come in and type it in. This is a major inconvienince and i would greatly apprreciate it if it would be fixed. so PLEEZ PLEEZ PLEEZ HELP!!!!!

I have this problem when i Alt-Tab while the game is on, and when i go back in i can't see anything, like the characters, people shooting, wind, etcs. It is not just me. I know a couple of people who has this problem.

gunbound players are not the only ones experiencing "javascript:goPlay('u_gbound', ");"error. Every other game has the same issue. Pretty much if you're one of the chosen few having problems loading gunbound (like me :( ) then you're not going to be able to play any other game that ijji has to offer. Guess we're just the unlucky ones :no:

I have screenshots of the error that i'm currently experiencing, along with the location of the source code.
I don't know if the admins still look at this thread alone, so i'm going to post it for all 3 threads that are "play live error." For other users who have firefox, you can also find your error. Before clicking on the "play live" button, go to "tools" on the top of your web browser, and select "error console." Make sure all other errors are cleared before clicking on play live. It took me a while to actually receive the error, mainly because of "event is not defined" but just keep trying until you get a new error. Anyways, here's my problem.

Yo, when i click on Play Live, nothing pops out at all, not even the "please wait..." box. I even restarted my computer, and it is stll doing this.:grrr:

UPDATE: I removed the Auto Installer and removed the previous version of the launcher, then i reinstalled the Auto Installer. I was able to get the start box open, and now I shall see if this works. (I just have to wait another couple of hours for the 30 files to download :zzz: )

okay heres what happened:
-i was playing yesterday and it was fine...
-when i came here today there was an update... and i dl/installed it
-then when the game was suppose to start after the START button...the website says done at left.bot corner and nothing happens..
-i waited for about 5 min or so for something to happened...noting still
i tried with with both firefox and IE and both have the same problem..
then i used IJJI plugin removal tool then tried again but still the same thing...


the thing is i didnt have problems before the update and now after it i do? :grrr:

yah vista is the problem many people know that vista has some bugs and errors because most internet sites havent updated so that vista computers can work so its predy much vistas and ijji problem because vista has problems ijji will lose members and we wouldnt be able to play gunbound :sad: :sad:

so the only way us vista owners can play is by going back to xp or waiting for ijji to fix it for me i thinking of down grading to the older model because i really want to play this freaking game.

I believe my problem is related to the similar errors that others here are enduring, so I will reply to this post.

I downloaded, and installed Gunbound, I started it, and installed the launcher, and the firefox plugin. Atleast, I believe I did. It left uninstall files in my start menu, but when I click on "Play Live" on the games webpage, It starts loading as if it was going to start, and then nothing happens.

Anyone help me, or can an administrator fix this (occuring?) problem!!

As of 7:00PM (PDT), we have fixed the play live issue. There was a conflict with Norton and we have made the changes on our side to resolve the issue. If you are still experiencing any problems with Play Live, please let us know. You can either reply to this thread or send a ticket to helpdesk. (Helpdesk preferred)

Some users may experience a blank screen when pressing the Play Live button. Refresh your browser and the Play Live button should work.

I think this is a firefox issue - Play Live doesnt do anything under Firefox 3 at all - I get an error in the error console tho'.

Games still start under IE, but I dislike using a different browser just to sign into a game. D:

Here's the deal. I can see and click the "Play Live" button. When the game launcher pops up and I click "Start" nothing happens. I can click start over and over again and nothing happens or I can click it once and wait forever and still nothing happens. The strange thing is I created a brand new account yesterday. The new account works fine. I can click the "Start" button as long as I'm logged in with the new account and everything works fine, but there are only 3 servers in the game now. Servers A, B & C.

I hope this helps because I would really like to use my old account. I really REALLY don't want to start back over from nothing. I have way too much stuff on that account just to let it go.

Whoever has the little roan popping up saying your game doesn't work, I know the problem, however this isn't the solution used to solve the 'dead start button' issue.

First, you probably uninstalled the game or deleted it from your computer totally. When you download it again, go to full version download which is right below the file download button. When you just go to the file download button, it only downloads the unupdated one. For some odd reason, one of the updates won't make it work.

Yes, i suppose ijji's maintenence (or whatever) team, really isn't good at fixcing computer problems, much less widespread issues

Ijji hasn't had any more problems than Softnyx did. For 80% of the people who play gunbound -- you play for FREE. Create your own game if you can do better. If you can't, then stfu and be patient. Sure, WoW, Everquest, Vanguard, etc. are more complex games, with less problems...there are probably about 1000x more people playing and not a single one plays for free. They have a right to expect better service.

Whoever has the little roan popping up saying your game doesn't work, I know the problem, however this isn't the solution used to solve the 'dead start button' issue.

It's amazing how there are still game launching problems since 2007!!!! A whole year and 5 months of programming ineptitude!!!

does ijji hire microsoft's programming rejects?!

this is a kid's game... why, in the past year, haven't these game launching problems been fixed? WoW, as well as many other COMPLEX games, launch fine and have since day 1. I'm not a professional programmer but I really think the people at ijji aren't either!

Well the problem with you way of think here is that this is a free game with doners for the cause. not a game that is funnded by evey player. and of corce there more complex. i have my on wow account/( rouge lvl 70 2nd ter. and some otheres not so high. ) but there have more than just a hand full of ppl they have a indisty. being payed for by its players. ofcorce thay don't have this problem there payed not to. and if thay do have a problem this big its fixed within hours not weeks. so don't try to compuare highly funded games and free ones ok.

i click on the PLAY LIVE and GunboundRevolution will start up and when i click on the Start and gunbound will not load up and begin......im running Vista (video card, ram, cpu, web browser is not the problem) plzzzzz i wanna playyy again!!!!!!!!!!!!:busted:
