View Full Version : Ranking system based on win %?

I think there should be a ranking system based on win %, there could be a different group for each rank (since it's harder to maintain a good win % as you move through the ranks) this would be a more accurate way to tell how good someone is then the gp ranking system
opinions?
There could also be an average damage one

Win % would just be ruined the the pros creating double accounts, and Average hit % would be ruined by the Average hit hackers back in GBWC, or the ones affected by it. Even though GP won't tell you who's best, it tells you who's played more.

ummm... I say no.
will just make it easy for botters and cheaters to get even more high ranks.
At least our current top rank cheaters have "longevity"

thats why there could be different tables for each rank, that way you could tell if someone was just pretending to be a chick, people with high win percentages at silver axe and up would be those who actually pwn lol

Well it'd only take a month or two for someone like that to get Silver Battle Axe, and even then their win percentage would probably be in the upper 70's.

True, but as they moved through the ranks it'd continue dropping and by the time they got to their real rank it'd be pretty low. To make it less likely for cheaters or fake noobs to get high scores, there could just be a cutoff at gold axe or something, and none of the ranks below that would qualify

Well there's also adding the fact that leaving a game before you lose doesn't count against your win %. Why? I'll never know, but I do know some wands that have 90+%. Or at least I used to.

leaving a game before you lose doesn't count against your win %.
leaving a game before you lose also gives you no gp, so you wouldnt be able to reach the required rank (ive thought this through pretty thoroughly XD)

Well yeah, but then you'd never lose, and you'd always win. No GP or not, you can only stand to gain it in that scenario.

think of how many games youd have to play to increase your rank if you only won like 50% of your games but left the other 50% before you lost. You'd have to be living at home in your mothers basement or something :P
srry but NO!! :dots: xD srry yea

uhh sounds like an okay idea.
that would be inaccurate
cuz if someone leaves a game (other than 1v1) it does not affect their win %
thats why all the diamonds and rubys with a high win % leave during games

Actually it could be a good idea... A win percentage ranking system for EACH RANK of gunbound, this won't get new GB Players with high win rates mixed up with the longer players. (PROS).
So, for example, a win percentage ranking system for golden axe, for battleaxes, and for wands, and for dragons.

Winning rate to 100%- Leave games you know you're gonna lose.
Bad idea, fail.

so a blue dragon with 300k gp could be ranked higher then one with 500k gp? i still dont find it fair, gp is only only semi-fair way to rank people

Seriously, it'll just make more idiots leave before they lose a game. GB will basically become unplayable, ijji might as well shut down the server.

well based on winning rate, lol this is dumb, but the actual ranking system, based on % of players over 6900 gp... but ijji doesnt have much players, and most accounts are being removed from inactivity.. = less diamonds = less rubies and so on, until battleaxes... so by making accounts staying in the servers forever... would basically be better....
