Quest Boss items: Use it or ditch?

I bet we all experienced this. Sometimes you get necklace or Large skull and everyone gets so excited: "BOSS TIME!!!" So you all successfully finished. But then??

LOL so many episodes happen:
1. [using it no matter what] Some ppl use boss items right away. Very nice ppl and they either want to see the boss drop right away or they are nice cuz they may think "we all work together. so we deserve to share" Quite nice ppl :)
2. [using it unless]Some ppl use it only when the quest team is high lvl enough. Say high lvls like 41+.
3. [using it unless]Some ppl use it only if the quest team has not died or at least showed some teamwork. (like number of deaths were few)
4. [complete ditchers] Some ppl got it and then suddenly leave the game and probably saving boss items one by one -.-
5. [liars] Worst of all, some ppl lie. come on.. It is 3 ppl quest and 1 of them is my close friend. And the other guy insists he didnt get it and my friends say he didn't get and I didn't get it. Too bad, the liar didn't know that the other guy we quested with was my best friend in gunz.

I use it when the team has least number of deaths most of the time so I voted that. Also when the team has too many low lvlers like lvl30-, I tend to leave the room because I hate to see all my teammates dead in the first 20 seconds. -.-

For the Goblin King I'll use it right away... otherwise I'll save the large skull for high level people... and generally I'm in a good room anyway with good teammates (Fluffy, RB-EStyle, etc) so it's generally a right away...

This is what I chose but this is what I do.

Playing with 25+ to get a large skull 'cause I'm bored. I don't get I'm like USE IT! If I get I run XD and use it with you RB and Brew or someone I know XD

Playing with 41+ and get a Necklace I'll use usually right away. If I am angry with the people I'll leave.

If one person is doing horribly or just hanging around and getting like 4 kills and not attacking Superion or whatever I kick them XD. I'm evil XD.

I was underexaggerated... The Large Skulls are more common then the necklaces and they didn't exist when the necklaces were out... XD

Do the drop rates increase when playing with more people? I really think so..

When I have a clover ring equipped and playing with 3 other clanmates we get like 1 or 2 large skulls per 2 pages.

So maybe it only goes for Clover Ring?

Wait O.o could this mean that... possibly... the comment:

I may be only a level 25, but I tend to survive longer than most of the people I have quest with. Generally, I live to the end. And even then, I only die in the boss room (for dungeon) because it's too bloody dark for me to see anything. Still, 50/50 chance of me surviving even then is pretty good under the circumstances. I still haven't got any help on the matter, and I have tried messin' with the settings... But man, the graphics get all messed up. *lol* Kinda sucks, really, but at least I hold my own and contribute to the cause.

Yeah, I tried that too, Courl. I've toggled off and on each setting, changed the resolution, and so on. I even double checked to make sure my drivers were updated... Still no results... Whatever MAIET did to those extra maps, that wasn't done to the first set? It's really messed up the graphics for me. I've even got desperate enough to let the game optimize the settings for me. *lol* Iunno, I'll have to find a group to quest with and toy with the settings again after it's all done. Who knows, might find something that works that I likely overlooked. But at any rate, I'm gonna take a screenshot to post so folks can see what I been dealin' with.

The fog is just an option you can add/adjust.

Some people adjust maps that there's a shizzload of deep fog like 1 inch from you.. You can barely see yourself.

That's what happens to me, in the castle map. *lol* The only thing I can do, is turn down the brightness. That helps to some degree, but when the characters are showing up as all white? Still hard to see 'em, until they start unloadin' on me.

That's a weird graph bug.. I'm not sure what causes it. But the fog I'm speaking of, is in ()servers.

We aren't that crazy about them so we don't care who gets what.

Why, I hate scenario 5. It just happened to me yesterday with a Crimson Necklace. Everybody says they don't have it, except for this one guy. When asked directly, he left.

I use the items as soon as i can, ime only lvl 18 so i dont stand a chance, altho ime usually the last one standing on the boss.. But i get 4k exp per stage!! 3 Stages before boss, 12000 exp *drools*... Killing the boss is an added bonus!

most of the time i prefer to use quest items when the people are 41+ mostly because the lower level weapons are'nt strong enough to bring down the boss. I'm thinking of the Dungeon boss when i say that

If I get a necklace when playing with noob sprayers or people that have a good chance of blowing the boss battle...I'll hang onto it and not use it. But I'll be POLITE about it. I save necklaces/Large Skulls so I can play with friends. ^_^

Thats me...gottta admit it, but if im questing with the clan we use it as fast as we can, cause we know we wont lose:P
im saving my larges for awile now:P but i dont steal them...i only keep the ones that i get from soloing quest

but i sugest u never play with anyone in the retar.dz clan...that whole clan steals items and then just blames other ppl for stealing it. i hate them with a passion

I use Neckalces as soon as I get them.

As for Skulls, I usualy end up having to Bf/rocket the intire last two stages in dungeon 25, due to a team with no brains. So I hold them.

Its just because people are getting sick of losing.

Someone like me wouldn't enjoy ruining it for others just for a boss. I know not everyone got like 24/7 access to bosses but even when I wasn't in a good quest clan I would still give people a reason to why I didn't use the boss with them and didn't lie.

i use it right away i mean come on its just 1 boss why the **** would u run away with 1 boss only sad ppl who think bosses are super rare and show offs leave the room if you leave the room and u want to do it with your friends that is fine if u never died in 1 stage its all about team work you wouldnt get the item if the other ppl werent there even if u died in 1stage means you shud share it with the rest of the team if some one leaves call them sad coz they think boss item is worth gold

idk if you can add or change options, but I think you should add an option that says "I would use it right away, but only if people will stop nagging me for it."

True Story: Yesterday I was finding some randoms to quest with (since my clan is nearly brain-dead). I found a room doing page 13 and they seem mad because they apparently keep dying. So I thought to myself, "I guess I'll stay." Then one guy works up enough spunk to ask me if I have boss items, and I say "Yea I do. Why do you ask?" This random finally says "Put it up." and so I just ignore him and press ready. I don't mind using them, but since I earned them myself I will decide if I use them or not, and here this guy is wanting a piece of the pie. Anyhow we go into the game and these 2 players keep nagging me and another player to hurry up when the portal goes up. First of all I think all players would do that, and I don't need reminding from those two to hurry up, especially when they had the worst performances in the previous two stages. So I decide to get at their nerves by waiting until the clock winds down to zero and they almost QQ. I tell them to relax and learn to be patient (which I think IRL, falls under the category of manners). When we get to the last stage they start spamming "Shoot Head or Sword the boss monsters". First of all the drops are random. Second they shouldn't be typing that when boss monster spawns in front of them. *Facepalm* So me and the other player (who happens to be mature and patient) decides "Lets stall them. See how long they are gonna keep nagging us". We went on intentionally missing MG shots and pistols until we were empty, and then said "No Ammo". We finally finish it with *fake* DBF's and when we get into the game room, I decide to piss them off by showing my boss items, and just taking them off and put in another combo. Luckily I have *most* boss items (can't get past palmpow T_T) and I really got them going. They started to QQ and flame me when I kept taking off combos of the new GK's, Palmpow's, Lich, and Broken Golem. Saying I was a "nab that hogs items". I don't hog items, I earn items. 'Nuff said.

Before anyone flames me and says I didn't solo for items like Lich or Golem or Palmpow. You're right, I didn't, but I earned them with other members of my clan who have these items as well, and I was lucky enough to get one in my inventory rotting away.

when i'm soloed boss items i keep them for like a team of 45+ (Nico KX) adn then mostly like more then 5 in a row :)
