By far, better hacker prevention. I can easily deal with bugs and such, however, it upsets me when some unskilled douche decides to use the one-hit-kill hack or aimbot. Hackers drain most of my motivation to play the game.

i have some ideas for you guys, specially for the website/and for hacking protection.

when i click 'my account' button on top of every GB page, it should be like (please enter your security question), because only the password, it is easier to get hacked, still not that eay but im saying, it should be improved, also, there should be an (avatar/account recovery system), so, like i said, incase we get hacked, email on helpdesk, and show proves that you are the owner, and you can get your avatars, the same day your account actually got stolen,

i am saying this because, i worked hard on this account (it is my first account ever) i played from chick to dragon (myself).. i also charged cash, so i dont wanna get stolen, and get nothing back..

5-As with new maps, one might not hurt but the maps we have are good and there is no reason to change.
6-ijji is consistently putting out new avatar items so I don't believe this is highly important to concentrate on.
7-More, better, and different events earned my vote in the poll because after a while GB gets boring. The events spice things up and keep me playing.
8-Website enhancements are important because you can't expect people to play a great game with a terrible web site leading to it. I believe this website is sufficient and you should focus your attention to the aforementioned and the following issues.
9-Better hacking prevention would be great, although it will always exist. It is the equivalent of bringing peace throughout the world..it is naive and I believe it will never be truly hacker free. However, you definately need to have GM's constantly responding to reports and monitoring the game on non-admin. accounts.
10-Bug fixes..I'm not entirely sure which bugs you are referring to because buddy lists and hacks have been addressed allready.

And also gifting is probably for the people that just want to give their nooby accounts a great avatar so they will own alot I think thats the last thing people want.

However this does contrast with the hacking issue by means of a hacker getting on to someone's account and gifting all his money/items away. This could be resolved by requiring the person to be online when you wanted to trade to them. I wish I could have voted in all the sections. As far as gifting is concerned, it has nothing to do with the people who apparently want to *Gift to newB accounts and own*.
Let me explain something about that.

First of all, do you recall the command /kick? They do not have to play with anyone using avatars that are to powerful for the room.

Also, the rookies have an avatar off server, if you're to worried about going into a room, ACCIDENTLY forgetting to look at their avatar and hit ready, then maybe you should pay more attention.

The players who don't have anything better to do with their gold and do send avatars to lower accounts, that's their loss, as said above, if you take advantage of the fact you are NEVER forced to play a game, it's not a big deal.

Why shouldn't I be able to send avatars to my friends?
Why shouldn't I be able to send avatars to my other accounts?

More people want gifting, and having gifting is more conveniant for more people.

Gifting was here when gunbound started, so why shouldn't it be here now?

If scamming is a big deal, then make it so only those in the % above 6900 can gift, as by that time you should know more about the game and that anyone you don't know well, should NOT be trusted.
Don't gift with people you don't know, it's common sense people.

Take note, that gifting should be only available RIGHT WHEN YOU BUY THE ITEM.
If the item is already bought, it cannot be sent away.

Step 1- They make a new account.
Step 2- Use the hack and make 100,000 Gold or more on the account.
Step 3- Send any avatar to a main account.
Step 4- Repeat steps 1-3.
Step 5- Once the account has unbelievable avatar for a low rank, sell the account on ebay for an easy $50 per account.

If you do this over and over, you are stealing money from GB and it takes very little time to make money with a DK hack.

Nothing good comes from gift and it should stay disabled.

As for Surreal, please say "some of the player base" not "The player base" because I am perfectly content with these maps.

Gb accounts dont sell as much as before. Before a dragon would cost 500+ now you can buy one for like 200.

Also, hacker prevention/account protection and recovery. I know ALOT of high ranking accounts which have been hacked and nothing has been done to recover them...no matter how many reports are sent. Replies from "CSR Hal" are all automated replies and wont do nothing about it. In GIS, if you report your account hacked, they will check the database, ip logs etc and ask you a few security questions that only the real account holder knows. Once those questions and ip are verified, the account is returned to the rightful owner. In GIS you can literally get your hacked account back between 1-2 days. Here, my brother has been waiting almost 6 months + to get his hacked account back...he is still waiting and empty handed.

I agree. So far with CSR_Hal i've gotten plenty of automated messages. For pete's sake, we even CALLED the ijji company to get my friend's dragon account back. Its formerly known as SnowGhost and it was changed to "xyz" then sold on ebay for 1k. We happened to stalk the guy down a bit,and he lived on Montana. Yea.. we were pretty upset. Anywy.. we sent in screen shots, we gave credit card numbers and hell we even gave our phone number. We've been waiting for months to get the account back and apparently they removed it from data base. How ironic. -___-'' SnowGhost's account had EVERY single event avatar and EVERY SINGLE CASH avatar. We've been playing for 4 years, 5 if you count me. For me, its been on and off, but for Snow, it was a struggle for ranking and such. What I'm most upset about is.. Ijji doesn't care about your belongings. They're main company provider makes 4 billion dollars and yet they refuse to give accounts back to their rightful owners. *sigh* I'm still waiting.. for them to reply.. and again, trying to find information for direct contact to Ijji.

I'd like to see the gift system back. I'm a member of a very closely-knit guild and we'd love to be able to send each other stuff.

The argument about hackers is mostly valid, but hackers are hackers. Ijji should take as many steps as possible to hinder hacking, but in the end, hackers can do whatever the heck they want and you can't do much to stop them.

To prevent scammers, implement a trading system. Have both people submit their item and the item which they are expecting from the other person. Then and only then will the items be exchanged.

Of course, the pros that use dragshot wouldn't notice this one.

I would have to say new mobiles though, because it gets extremely boring sing the same mobiles over and over again....makes the game dull and unmotivating. I have a flawless trade system that is modeled after the pokemon trade system for the Nintendo Game Boy.

With gifting possible not only do newbs open their mouths BEGGING for avatar, they also become literally gullable to every possible trick imaginable.

For example:

A simple room title such as "Stay 2x = Avatar" or "Kill 1 Person = Avatar" are now possible with gifting so newbs will stay like either the 2x or more if the host is persuasive, or more than 20 times to merely try and kill 1 person.

I know these situations might seem rare but believe me, the scamming will sky rocket and with gifting comes more new players..players unaware of the scamming community.


There are other ways to show appreciation to your guild mates other than buying them things. Seems like they are in the guild just for free stuff.

If they win a tournament charge for them.
If you want to improve the morale of your guild mates, challenge other guilds for guild wars and prove your supremacy.

Your intentions seem honest but they only look at the short term effects.

In the long run gifting will not improve gunbound.

Well I understand that it takes time, but here is the thing...if the buddylist system worked way better for Thors Hammer/WC then now then why is that solution such a problem? Was the big move from Softnyx to ijji's control that much of a problem? Hacking is a huge problem for most free games (and others for that matter) and solving this issue takes more than simple development. There will always be hacks and people using them as well as hackers...so I can say thats not a big focal point. Gifting was perfectly fine before as well. I don't get what can't be solved if there were no problems before the change over. Is it that ijji is just not familiar with the systems that well or what?

Its a great service that is being provided, but if things weren't broken in the past...why try to keep fixing them when others solved the solution before? Maybe seek advice from softnyx. Too many times I hear in game that people wish they could go back to the original gunbound or that they miss the old days. I have faith in ijji, but I would like to see more results. That huge overhaul that was supposdly done not too long ago seemed to prevent/solve nothing as far as server issues and other related problems. Seems to me that events like the one that is occuring (Hospital) need to take a back burner to the real issues at hand. Hiding problems under events annoys people. Especially with how random and frustraiting the Hospital event has been.

Again like I said; I have faith in ijji and salute each and everyone of the ijji team for their efforts.

I think its obvious that IJJI only cares about one thing....obtaining real money for avatars with the least amount of work possible. Look at whats happened....hackers are abundant and problems still arise with the buddy list system, gifting, increased game glitches, and multiple other things. As I stated on page 10...why fix something that isn't broken. How in the world did IJJI mess up what SoftNYX had already fixed. NO one complains in WC about buddy list doing as badly as it does for us here and other random things that continue to happen. They act as if its such a hard task...but look at how many games are run under ijji's control. Maybe they've bitten off far more than they can chew.

I wish we could go back to SoftNYX. At least the event games are fun there and the problems are solved in a timely manner. Instead of forcing us half truths and whole lies about how "time consuming and how much research needs to go into development." Obviously if many other companies can handle their online games (Blizzard, Wizet, etc...) IJJI should be able to handle theirs or at least the ones they've taken responsibility for.

First of all....ijji OBVIOUSLY has it in their best interest to improve GB to satisfy the players because from a business standpoint alone, they make more money when more people are playing! They're obviously making an effort to learn what GB players want. Look at how they listen to the players so much more than Softnyx ever did. Give them time and stop pressuring them with all of your petty WANTS, and let them focus on what everyone NEEDS.

Of course there are many things to fix, yes. ijji is well aware of the problems at hand, and here they are giving each player a chance to present each problem as they individually prioritize it, but everyone just complains!

Ijji has taken on several games at once...That makes it hard for them to focus on each one. Somebody mentioned Blizzard. WCIII and WoW have taken priority over everything else they run. StarCraft hasn't been updated since Brood War...that's how old? Almost 10 years? ijji is trying to get several games running at once, and needs to divide their attention to each of their games/gamers. Softnyx runs GBWC and Rakion, and for a while it was only GBWC. Of course they have the time and manpower to get to everything that needs correction, especially since GB is well established by now. (It's been out for like 6 years or better.)

I personally would like to see better hack detection/prevention. The "report abuse" button would only be , well...abused. Gifting would be awesome too, but it won't make the gaming environment any better really. Hack prevention will clean up the game, and its players and make it much more enjoyable to play.

Josh have you even checked the WC website? Their events are not like ours at all and not even set up for the same times. Before posting you should take a browse on www.gunbound.net and find out whats up with things there. Maybe that is what you don't realize.

It isn't petty to want what was offered from SoftNYX in the first place. I never asked nor wanted to do a change over...I was forced to switch to NA. Patience runs thin after a long period of wait for the simple task of at least a few improvements to better the experience. Nothing is enjoyable when 3/5 games have hackers in them who use a multiple of programs that patch almost instantly after updates are downloaded.

Yes from a business point its possiblle to keep forcing cash avatars to increase revenue, but if the gaming experience dwindles over a short span of a month of playing then what has IJJI truely lost?

And as a paying cash user I (along with everyone else who pays) have THE UP MOST RIGHT TO DEMAND and cause pressure against IJJI if results are slowly coming about. And to tell the truth I've yet to see any results.

Personally, what I would like to see the most is a return to country rank by IP. Im sick and tired of people scaming thier way to a better rank, and taking places from people that deserve them that are actually from that country. Personally, I was ranked 1 in New Zealand for a short while, until some new people came along, which I noticed had Canada as thier country a week earlier.

I'm not truly a fan of gifting, but I have several concerns, to be frank. I want a interface upgrade, especially adding to the buddy list a guild function to see who's on in your guild. The Buddy List should also be fixed as well.

Also, more items and mobiles would help to spice up the game, as it's been the same for a good while, besides events and new avatars.

I do have a novel idea, though. We should be able to edit the colors of our avatar, through some menu or perhaps even an item.

Everything that gets done is appreciated by the players who understand it is merely a game.

(Please Note: The following numbers correspond consecutively to the poll issues.)

1-Please do not bring gift back as it only encourages scamming and scares new players away from the game.
2-A report button would be great if it had instructions on its function. Previously it was confusing and never used, or over used.
3-Buddy lists are very important to gunbound's success because if I log on and my BL doesn't work, I typically play one game..get bored..and sign off.
4-New mobiles are unnecessary. When kalsi and frog were introduced, they were cheap beyond imagination and so they were weakened and now virtually useless. Keep the mobiles we have please.
5-As with new maps, one might not hurt but the maps we have are good and there is no reason to change.
6-ijji is consistently putting out new avatar items so I don't believe this is highly important to concentrate on.
7-More, better, and different events earned my vote in the poll because after a while GB gets boring. The events spice things up and keep me playing.
8-Website enhancements are important because you can't expect people to play a great game with a terrible web site leading to it. I believe this website is sufficient and you should focus your attention to the aforementioned and the following issues.
9-Better hacking prevention would be great, although it will always exist. It is the equivalent of bringing peace throughout the world..it is naive and I believe it will never be truly hacker free. However, you definately need to have GM's constantly responding to reports and monitoring the game on non-admin. accounts.
10-Bug fixes..I'm not entirely sure which bugs you are referring to because buddy lists and hacks have been addressed allready.

that is why i dont you recommend you add gift. or heres an idea, if you add gift make it so like only certain rank can send gifts. e.g. battle axe plus (9500gp) this way everyone who is a battle axe and up can send gifts. right? how hard is it to make 10,000 k GP. mostly everyone that plays this game will be rank of battle axe plus or higher, only the new people starting out and the hacker scum bags have low accounts. this way if you put gift with high rank like battle axe plus, the low rank hacker scumbags who did DK hacks to get gold will not be able to gift to their high rank accounts :). unless they sit there and play to rank up to battle axe plus or even higher.

U should really think about that..... 9,500 gp of constant dking... Theyd probably be richer than ever lol. I voted for Bug Fixes and this one includes the Already Bug in the main website gunbound.ijji.com with the Play Live Button....the number of users unable to launch the game is increasing.

We should thank GM_Delirum for taking the time to put this whole list of important items for a best palying environment, but we should understand that not all could be accomplished in a day nor even a week. Patience is a virtue...Thanks GM D!

I'd like to see Hacker prevention improved mostly, that was my vote. I see DK hackers everyday - quite annoying and unfair assuming that most get away with it. Also a few new maps would be nice to add more excitement to gameplay. More events are nice although I have never participated in one, they would seem interesting to join and make me want to play more GB. As for the others, I think they should all be fixed/added/changed, but anyway we should get that in time.

1) The ammount of different ijji.com related files that are 'supposedly' false positives to my virus scanner. I've run a few of them through virustotal.com...if there's that many false positives, maybe you guys should re-work some code?

2) Ever taken a look at the Technical Help threads? How many people need to point out a problem before someone gets off their rear and does something besides copy/paste a form letter to them?

I would love to see this bug fixed: on XP Home Edition, you have to be Administrator to play gunbound online. I have been searching for a fix for this problem for days to no avail.
