Alright..

soo I'm almost 95% positive that Light shield could cancel another buff currently cast. But now it cannot. So there are quite a few times where someone buffs the party with mana or life extension, I try to get out of a tight spot with Light shield and fail because it just DOESNT WORK. I don't know if this is a glitch... or if its some new system implement. Can this just be clarified? Also, if it is the case where the programmers have made it so Light shield cannot be used when other buffs are in use.. please stop taking my regeants when i try casting it x_x

Well whichever buff has the most skill points in it (level of buff) will override or cancel the weaker buff. For instance, say there is a level 6 life extension buff in effect on your character or someone around you, then someone casts a level 5 mana buff, the hp buff will stay in effect while the mana buff does nothing. Let's say there is a level 2 defense buff already on you and the people around you then someone casts a level light shield, the level 3 light shield will replace the level 2 defense buff completely, even when the light shield goes away. Yes i hate the fact that only one buff is allowed too T_T but something like light shield which is a healers only invincible frame (other than JoG which isn't instant) can't save you when you are currently under a buff...stupid......

Certain buffs can override others regardless of level.

I have a level 7 Mana Buff, but Dacys can cancel the mana buff with the Crit buff even though it is lower leveled.

My level 7 Mana Buff, on the other hand can not even cancel a level 1 Life Extension.

Well.. my level 7 tears on my dacy (which is basically a personal light shield) won't cast either. 6 is the maximum amount of skill points you can invest into Life extension. There has been several occasions where I'm like trapped in a corner and try to escape with tears, but cant cause of an extra 1000 hp which is basically gone in two hits anyways. x_x

then something is wrong with your characters because that has never happened with me. Limes cant use their speed buffs when i use my life extension on them unless their buff is higher level. Sieg cant use their crit buffs or invinciblity/magic def buffs when i use it on them either. Neither can i when i play my lime or sieg after a wiz or healer used a buff. Neither can my Dacy with tears or counter attack of the sleeping person....idk what's wrong with your characters...

i was in a cobolt raid yesterday and a sieg couldnt use his buff that allows him to run over the mins from the cobolt assault captains to blow them up and make a path for us to walk over because when he did it didnt have any effect because it was level 2 versus a level 3 defense buff......

I doubt that its just me experiencing this.

I just hope its fixed for I dont feel like I've wasted 4 and 7 skill points from my characters. There's no point in me investing in these safe get aways if I can't use them. x_x

you probably think the dacys are overriding it when its not...with my dacy i cant override ANY buff with my level 2 crit buff unless the other buff was level 1. on my wiz i have level 5 mana buff and i can cancel a lvl 1 hp buff and a level 6 hp buff can cancel my mana buff just like any other maxed healer buff.

i completely understand x_x because i think when i use tears or light shield they should have superiority over all other buffs or should at least stack since they last very little time and go away once you attack...

Lol they must have lied because my dacy can't override buffs like that. They probably think it is just because it shows the effect, if they are noob, or it glitched. I don't care anymore because I know what happens to me and everyone else I have buffed that has told me. I'm done with this thread.

lvl doesn't matter.

I have lvl 5 fake tear, and lvl 6 counteract.

And I just find it, I can't overide any buff by others. I tried, so don't challenge me.

Once there is a mage mp buff me, I said I don't want buff, he said overide with your own buff, I used tears, nothing happen, wasted my black pearl, I used counteract, nothing happened, wasted my huck and fire plant.

And its the same with eir HP Buff.

Yes, so after more research.. I can apparently override MP buffs - but still not Life Extension. =/

The Higher Level Buff cancels the smaller one.

He has a Level 7 or Higher MP Buff then.
