It might have been discussed already, I dont know, but I didnt see a thread.

One way I found really useful to kill people is to turn up the speaker volume. So I can hear when somebody is coming towards me or is reloading or anything like that. So I have that advantage.... that doesnt always work perfectly but you have a better chance of killing your opponent specially if its a 1 on 1 match.

It seems so simple. You are defiantly correct. This game is almost impossible to play well without the sound of course.

That's why I like to wear headphones. Then I turn up the sound nice and loud and just listen. After awhile you can start to recognize where people are just by the sound of them runnung. The different ground and floors there all have distinguishable sounds.

Yeah headphones are the way to go. Even if you have good speakers and crank them up, noise in the house is going to screw you over in those crucial points. Also recognize what floors make what sounds so you can always know exactly where your opponent is.

I normally listen to music whilst playing games, i agree 100% listening to the game sounds is much better to locate your enemies, but i prefer the shredding guitar solo's and awesome drum solo's than some guy running about :woot:

PS: definately use the game sound rather than music if your aiming for some ownage within the game.

Haha, I don't use the sound effect, but then I haven't thought of it much. When I get on tonight, I'll definitely try using my headphones xD. I doubt that'll make a difference on how a play or not, though.

A better sound card will enhance the sound. =\

headfones are simple. very precise. the sound goes strait to the ear. how ever you may lose a bit of hearing..
[i did lol] but having speakers can annoy your family.. so headphones on med volume should be fine.
