does more ap reduce more damage or do you just have more ap?

More dmg blocked, bit, depending on what weapon inflicts the dmg, som weapons do more HP dmg then AP dmg, like revolvers, do 75% HP, 25% AP.

Ap is a god send in my opinion. It protects you from spray and the full brunt blow of a shot gun blast. IT doesn't save you that much from revolvers, but it lets you take an extra shot or two if you are lucky.

It just adds to your total hp/ap I guess, but it also depends what weapon you are facing. Some do lots of damage to ap, shotguns, and some do a lot of hp, revs.

with any weapon except revolvers, you'll take 50% to HP and 50% to AP on a normal hit, 75% to HP and 25% to AP on a headshot. I guess revolvers turn normal hits into headshots o.o

anyway, more AP doesn't decrease damage, it just redirects it to the extra AP. You'll still get killed easily by revs though.

Your sorta right.

In a 50%ap and 50%hp hit:

Headshot = 20%ap 80%hp
Bodyshot = 50%ap 50%hp
Extremities = 60%ap 40%hp

This is, of course, valid if you have ap.

it doesnt reduce damage just increases the amount of damage you can take
