They're secret tunnels that lead you to uber trasures and GM powers, obviously.

There's a trick to get the 6-6 secrets, but the topic I made on it is long-buried.

There are three secret portals in this stage, but they only appear when you destroy the "Sikan Seal Devices" in the room in the proper order.

The first portal has only two seals. Destroy the left one, then the right one.

The second portal has three seals. Destroy the top one, the left one, the right one.

The third portal has four seals. Destroy the top-left, then the bottom-right, then the top-right, then the bottom left in that order.
