Welcome to Rubedo's Official Automatic User's Guide.
The following are tried and true tactics that work well for the front-line, quickshot player.
The information you will read below will help yourself as well as your enemies, so remember how to counter them.
WARNING: DUE TO DIFFERENCES IN THE DIFFERENT AUTOMATIC WEAPONS, YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN RE-CALCULATIONS BASED ON PLAYING STYLE AND WEAPON!!!
Camping - A rusher who camps early in the game is guaranteed instantaneous destruction. However, when the competition dwindles, it is necessary to secure a perimeter. If you are the offensive, you want to create a clear escape route where no enemy can pick you off. If you are on the defensive, you want to keep your enemy contained, possibly kill them. Always make sure that when you camp, you have a sniper in the area to cover you, should you die or find a need to retreat.
Blitzer Traits - Unlike Snipers, users of an automatic gun are intended to function on the front line. Do not relegate yourself to the duty of guarding a sniper. You can help them just as much as a grenade can cause damage underwater. But don't move too fast. Always clear corners with efficiency and never rush into an area alone unless you are sure of your advantage. Also, make good use of smoke grenades.
Ammunition - Despite popular thoughts, ammo conservation is just as important here as it is for a sniper. If you have no ammo, there's no point in rushing the front. Make use of the reticule. Create an imaginary box around the reticule at the center of your screen and keep it there. As long as your opponent is withing mid-range, you will land most of your shots (depending on the gun)
Be The Hero - Unlike snipers, users of automatic guns can afford to be a hero. Always help your friends out. As long as someone survives, the team will move onward.
Calculated Retreat - Don't be afraid to hide. If you are reloading or are clearning corners, you can dive behind a wall or crate as soon as you finish firing your round or viewing the area beyond the wall. But don't wait too long. They'll grenade you or jump over you and take you out. You shouldn't spend more than 3 seconds in a single hiding spot during a firefight.
I won't to the copyright thing cause that goes too far, but I will say that this crap is true.
