Epidemic's Pointless AK-74 Guide
Hey everyone, this is my guide to the AK-74 (obviously). Anyways, you don't have to go by these rules or tactics, I just made this because I had some spare time on my hands. Okay, here goes.
1) Crouching - If you are new to the AK, you will find it so much easier to kill someone while crouched. The main mistake most new AK users make is try to run and shoot, jump and shoot, stand and shoot, ect. Crouching will be your best friend, trust me.
2) Jumping - Not recommended! Jumping increases your crosshairs area greatly! Unless you are point blank range, do not jump... ever. The bigger the crosshair area means that your bullets, that you pump out of your gun, will have that much more area to hit, bad idea.
3) Aiming - Most people think that the AK is incredibly hard to use simply because it has the most recoil out of the guns that are available right now. You can fix this problem easily. You know how I told you that crouching would be your best friend? Well here is when it actually applies. When you are shooting, bam bam bam bam, your gun will recoil upwards, to prevent this steadily pull it down. Don't jerk it down, that's just uncontrolled spraying. Find your own rhythm, and master it. If you find yourself not pulling down enough, or pulling down too hard, just practice practice practice! You can do it!
4) Range - You are not superman! I am (jk). Anyways, know your ranges, I would advise trying out short - mid range first, after a couple games, when you get the hang of it, you will find yourself doing much better. Sometimes when you shoot fully automatic you will find your bullets veering off to the left or the right. The best thing to do, let off the trigger for a split second, and continue firing, or, adjust to your misfortune and make it deadly. Remember, AK is not pinpoint accurate, but it will get the job done.
5) Extras - Some other things that might encourage you to switch to AK...
2 Headshots with an AK = Dead, Not Alive, He's Toast.
This is why so many AK users get "lucky" from far range, they can take out snipers, but only if they have some-what mastered their gun. Cool huh?
6) Tips - Well even though this whole thing is a big "Tip", here are some things that could save your life. Like I said before, you are not superman, don't go bursting into a crowd because you know if you headshot each of them twice, you can take them all out... that is wrong, and you will die. Another thing, AK is a very heavy weapon, meaning you will not run fast, at all. Try to use your knife when you know you are clear of any danger. Remember to keep your finger on the "1" key to quickly switch to your primary weapon (in this case the AK).
Well I might put up more later, such as screenshots and other stuff. Cool cool. Thanks for checking out my guide.
