fixed my vista for gunz!!!

to fix this, first you must uninstall all previous gunzlaunchers, to do that follow this link and click automatic install:

once youve uninstalled all previous versions of gunzlauncher, go 2 the gunz page, u will be propted to download the activeX plugin, click install

once youve installed that, sign in to your account.

then you must change the ie activeX controls, you can do this by following this method:
(thanks to gm_vanquish for this part)

1) Open Internet Explorer
2) Click Tools>Internet Options
3) Select Security Tab
4) Click "Custom Level" button
5) Scroll down to view "ActiveX controls and plug-ins"
6) Find and Enable all of the following ActiveX control and plug-ins.
- Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt
- Allow Scriptlets
- Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
- Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins

Now start gunz, there you go =]

If this works for the Vista Users it should get stickied. I hope more people looks at this since Vista has problems with a lot of online games =/ (poor Vista, lucky me has XP, so I don't have to worry).

Try doing what i stated in the instructions, the uninstaller should uninstall all gamelaunchers including gunboud.

Actually, Devilnfish, some people cant play gunz with vista, due to this problem or another, thus this thread does not prove useless...
You cannot possibly say that everyone with vista can play gunz. A lot of people can, but a majority of people cant, thus creating this thread as a guide to make it work.

PLEASE CARE IN ALLOWING SCIPLETS AND ACTIVE X CONTROLS "WITHOUT" PROMPTS... coz first it makes ur computer vulnerable to spywares and virus.... second i smell something fishy here... u may never know, "why erase the official launcher, replace it with unofficial one & allow sciplets and all active x without prompt?" i think this is somekind of "easy hacking" my advice... erase the entire game and reinstall...
