not exactly.....private servers are against Maiet copyright laws......a private server is basically a copy of the original....hence, Maiet can sue you for copying their work(that is to say if you make a private server)...i wouldnt participate in a private server just to be safe.....

Mmm your computer is at a risk for being on such a server. I would not use any private information on your machine because of keyloggers and other things that come from servers like that.

Oh and ya... dunno if they ban or not, but your account can get hacked, so kinda like a ban? :P

No but your acc can easily be compromised, might not be the pserver owner but someone may hack it and release the acc info, which HAS happened on a major pserver before, and hundreds got their Ijji accs hacked.

No u will not get banned, since the creator of the privet server is not making money from anyone or selling the product in any way it dose not break any law( think of all the games out there where ppl have made privet servers, ever heard or WoW anybody?) The largest risk s like alot of the above have said. U can be hacked very easily because it requires u give up personal information to become pat of a privet server. Its not a good idea to join them unless it is a personal friend of urs.

Thats true, they've been known to sue or take it to court when someone makes a PRIVATE SERVER.

And also Blizzard has been know to too, Remember FreeCraft, remember they threaten to sue too, they closed it before they got the chance.

Cause they're breaking the copywrite law, so it enbles them to sue and take it to court if they have/want too.

Technically it is illegal and if they find out, you probably will get banned. The reason Maiet isn't going on a rampage and starting lawsuits with these people is because there's nothing to be gained (I doubt the ones hosting the pservers are loaded). They'd end up losing a whole lot more money than getting back so it'd be pretty stupid if they decided to sue now, unless they decide to charge a subscription to Gunz. Wouldn't be surprised if they did.

@Sai: I know they sued once, like a top PS, just like a scare tactic (Though if it became big again, they would probably do) Since less people are knowing about this, thus meaning more people WONT go to PSs, I think or read somewhere Blizzard has brought to court 4 times, dropped one, since the person stopped it and got rid of the servers, 1 for settetlment (Sorry if I misspelled), and 2 DID go through, I could have miss read it too though.

But the only reason Blizzard did it, cause the people took the same program, but called something else and called it their own for a like a WoW PS or some other game. =/

Well anyways, yes you will get banned (I think I saw somewhere in the ToS or something) and hacked (from the PS site, most likely) so its a lose-lose situation, and it's not like you have P2P =/ Thus PS =Fail IMO

P servers are actually a gain to real GunZ cus they attract hackers.. which can easily break thru the weak home - made hack protectors ( if any ) today's private servers have.

You're a moron. And Ijji DOES care about private servers otherwize it wouldn't say in the TOS that playing on them can get you banned.

All it takes is you getting reported by one of the "admins" of a P server for pissing them off and your IP banned here.

no i dont, i have stated i play a private server but i remain faithful to ijji (maybe cause i buy prems xD)

but if you own a pserver, they will take these steps

1. ask you to shut it down or (possibly) get a lawsuit
2. hack the private server and shut it down (it was done before)
