Pistols don't give nice damage, they dont shoot that fast and they are not accurate.
So why use pistols?

Try using a pistol in combat, its really bad. Revolvers are a lot more accurate then pistols just like rifles. Rifles also have a better clip size then pistols.

Really you should just try these 3 weapens and see yourself. Every "pro" would agree with me..

No way. Pistols are the most accurate weapons in the game.

A Revovler's accurary is WAY lower then a pistol's.

And techincally speaking, Pistols have higher damage over Rifles. It's just the Rifles fire-rate (speed) delay that makes them better. And again, pistols are still more accurate.

I use pistols all the time. They're pretty accurate. Plus pistols have good critical rates like revovlers, meaning I can lower a player's HP faster regardless of the player's AP.

How abouts you and I take out our pistols and revovlers, go onto a map, put some distance between us, and fire at each other so we can test this out?

I've used all them in combat in all combinations.
You can do a simple test to see which is more accurate:
Aim at a wall from a decent distance (but close enough so u can see the wall marks)
Fire the revolver holding down the mouse button until out of ammo. look at the wall and see how close ur hits were. (dont moove your mouse from the point you aimed)
Now do the same with pistols, but only fire the amount of rounds as the revolver had (6 usually).
You can clearly see that the pistol has more hits closer to the point you aimed. And if you are feeling really nerdy u can repeat the test many times and count the hit % >.>
and as for the damage amount, just look from the inventory description to compare each weapons damage per bullet- pistols do more damage than rifles per hit.

Stats might be better of pistols, yet they sux in combat. More damage a hit, lets say pistol does 20 damage and rifle 15. When you hit 20 damage with pistol, you already hit with the rifle 3 times ~ 45 damage.

And pistols clips is really poor..

And revolvers are more accurate, you use them the wrong way. If you hold mouse butten you get recoil.. if you press fire, wait, then press fire again you wont get recoil.

theyre supposed to be a combo betweent eh rifle and the rev, but theyre nowhere near the dmg and delay they should have...

I love pistols. I kill many people withj them. Their damage is absolutely amazing. It takes me about 3-5 good shots to kill someone and they can hit at a decent range. Granted they dont have the speed of a smg or rifle, but they look cool. Especialy with a trenchcoat. I feel like a texas ranger.

i use revs not pistols. pistols make u look like a noob cos u went an spent money on them lol. i use revs when ppl dont lag with me. if u want accurcy an fire rate use assult. if u wona snipe use revs not pistols cos when some 1 gets hit they generally move..... an an the dagnome guy above me is talkin about revs not pistols =s im lvl 45 an then i can kil lvl 1ns in a slash an 2 hits i think... otherwise it does take 3-5hits... i only used revs below lvl 10 ar above lvl 36 cos there is only 1 good sg at lvl 10 an u get 50 damage minics at lvl 36

Stop debating that, people did MANY tests. You'll notice that with revolvers, even when standing still, it might say HIT, but it doesn't actually hurt the enemy. Just to prove how horrible the HIT counter is and the accuracy of revolvers.

The revolver is accurate, yet VERY sensitive for lag. Pistols spray a bit, so what if they accurate? And we are not talking about hit counter anyway, about hitting walls =_+

Personally I love pistols, they're like anti-lag weapons lol, I've grown to just use a combination of two pistols in battles.

Now i've been with Gunz since IGunz, and I've used both Pistols and Revs, both have their strong suits:

-The pistol has medium damage but a fast trigger pull (delay), they are are also more accurate than revolvers in terms of continuous fire. Against the rifle the pistol is not as accurate, but yes the pistol has more punch per round. Of course for every one round a pistol can put out a rifle can put out 3 or even 5(Maxwell series). Also the pistols are only really any good after the Raptor 120 series. Anything below that has too much delay and too little ammo to really be any good unless your a pro. Still they are good for slowly weening one off of senseless spraying.

-The revolver has MAD power, and the first shot is always dead on(like any weapon), but in terms of continuous fire it has high recoil and is less accurate. It's much more accurate to go semi-auto with the revolver, but waiting for the effects of recoil to end tends to delay the already slow action of the revolver. But it's clip is really low, six rounds can go in a flash, and battles are fast (you might aquire a target one moment and lose him/her the next). More often than not, six rounds are usually more than needed if you can keep your target. It's a great platform to increase ones accuracy, you learn quick about price of wasting ammo with a revolver.

Pistols SUCKS, UNTIL the Raptors 120 x2, which are ok. Further pistols are also decent, and the Raptor 200 x2 (the last one) is good.

But strategies using pistols and revs are DIFFERENT, that is why people try to use them like revs, and fail beyond belief.:doh:

ALSO, Ravens and Raptors are VERY different weapons, even though they are both pistols.

I fail to see the point of pistols when revs are available. I'd rather use a rifle instead of a pistol because of the rapid fire. Who needs accuracy when you can spray them up some.

Yeah if you just keep you firing button on but why would people do it with revolvers? When jsut waiting 1sec you can get hit straight to target, with pistols I understand that you wanna hit lil burstes like 3-6 shots at time.

If you switch dual revolvers you can get perfect accuracy every time. I think :doh:

Well, actually that is because they don't do much damage, so you fire in bursts to quickly rack up damage.

Yeah I am well awear and as I said I understand that you have to shoot longer with pistols but still that comment about revolvers and pistols accuracity was therywise good but gameplay wise bull****************

Pistols are tied with 2nd best accuracy in the game which are Rifles. The gun with the best accuracy is the Rocket Launcher which has PERFECT accuracy. Anyway yes I used to use the level 34 Ravens, over HALF the damage of revolvers, over DOUBLE the ammo, TWICE as better ROF. What's not to love?

Tho they sux due to lack of damage, clipsize and speed. No use to discuss this, every "pro" tried them and they just dint got any use.
