View Full Version : Please seperate the gunner's seat hitbox from the tank's hitbox

Please, seperate the gunner's seat hitbox from the tank's hitbox. It's incredibly annoying to jump onto the gunner's seat, get RPG'ed in the tank tracks, then get killed. All within 7 seconds. A simple solution to this is to separate the hitboxes. Also add a metal plate in front of the gunner so the moment he jumps on, he doesn't get sniped. The plate should have a set amount of damage it can take before it falls apart. Every time the tank is repaired, it should come back. A direct RPG hit to the gunner's seat either kills him or half kills him if the metal plate is there(and the plate it destroyed). If the tank is destroyed and the gunner survives, he gets out.

To counter this, once in awhile, on the NRF side, when you open up the weapon's locker, you will find a AT-4 or an anti-tank weapon(1 out of 10 chance). The AT-4/anti-tank weapon would OHK the tank, and the gunner(if the plate's down, then he would have to get out of the tank).

I like the metal plate option however, the only time the gunner gets killed by an rpg in the situation u r describing is if the tank is "destroyed"

Hmm, that's strange, most of the time, I get in, I get RPG'ed, then the tank keeps moving, very strange. And thanks for supporting the metal plate idea.

Yes, seperate the hitboxes, and another thing: Make it like CODWAW, where tank gunners can crouch inside the tanks.

Also, crouching is kinda poaintless, the plate does that job better.

You know I'm CLoneTrooper, right? You should know my writing style, when I'm sarcastic I usually type in all caps and include several intentional mispellings of words.

Although, on here, I'll occasionally use blue text for sarcasm, since, on another forum I use to go on alot, blue text meant sarcasm.

Sorry men... i hated the super OP metal plate armour... but the hitbox DO need a BIG fix. I killed just 1 guy in the gunner seat. It´s very anoying when they hit the tank, even if hit´s the side plate of the tank, and i die... oh and i absolutly agree for the LAW/anti tank weapon!!!! -> cool idea

I agree that it should be a separate thing from the main tank. I've never been able to survive more than 5 seconds as a gunner.

Another idea, be able to duck down in the gunner spot. Allows you to avoid getting hit by bullets, RPG could still hurt you. Prevents you from shooting while taking cover.

For me, it's good as it now. Would you live, after a hit from RPG in you're face or tank? This game base on realistic, so it's like now ;) ( anyway if they would change it, everyone go on MG and spray everyone ^^ )

but if your team was decently good, you shouldn't be able to die so fast...

no sheild for the tank gunner, no hitbox change,

denied...

also... this wont be fixed...
or added..

nhn NA has no more right to alter this game other than for events and translating...

take it up with Korea.

For me, it's good as it now. Would you live, after a hit from RPG in you're face or tank? This game base on realistic, so it's like now ;) ( anyway if they would change it, everyone go on MG and spray everyone ^^ )

So the tank getting hit in the tracks kills you in real life now? :O
Unless shrapnel starts flying towards your head(Which there is none in game), i'm doubting you'll die.

And that's what the LAW/Anti-tank weapon is used to counter, it'll kill the gunner as long as the rocket hits the turret.

Hitboxes are the area where getting hit by a bullet counts. If someone says they have laggy hitboxes, it means part of their hit box is out of their body.

The LAW is an anti-tank weapon. The RPG is an anti-personnel weapon(It can be used with anti-tank warheads, but the LAW has a larger one), but i'm thinking of editing out the LAW and replacing it with an AT-4, since it fires 84mm H.E.A.T. rockets, it fits the tank OHK much better :)

In the game is it the LAW or RPG? Why do you need a LAW if there is already a weapon capable of taking down the tank? I don't understand :(

The LAW/AT-4 would simply OHK the tank, and doesn't require two hits.
