I have been eagerly awaiting the release of A.V.A USA for a while now. I took the time to google translate the Jap Application for their AVA and have been playing that for a few months now. Those of you who think that this is it for content then you will be happy to hear me say that there is much more to come that will improve the game play for all. Below is my personal opinion about AVA and the thing I like and the things I think could use improvement.

Pros:
Awsome graphics!
Host of room has option of Moderating the room (right click on player)
Vote Kick option in game (f7 to implement, f5 for yes and f6 for no)
You can block people!
Great game modes such as tank escort.
Easy user interface and navigation
Love the option of changing weapons with mouse scroll
Grenade shortcut button is pressing scroll button(mouse button 3)
There is a penalty for leave in the middle of a match
Most of the game is server side and will be harder to hack(I Hope..lol)
No "Nut Shots"
Helmet actually protects you from HS most of the time.
Demolition mode is challenging with only 1 bomb to plant.
Nade Indicator is great!
The award/challenge and medal system is sweet
Hosting a game is easy and not frustrating.

Cons:
Not all Rank ups come with a reward
only improved or upgradable armor is helmet(only durability upgrades for body armor)
No option to cut out specific things such as explosives or Snipers
No option to have only snipers or shot guns etc.
Internet Signal strength indicator instead of ping count indicator(it would help game lag and hitbox reg to know if someone in game has high ping count)
Cant change button config permanently and some things are unchangeable like sprinting
You have to double tap W to sprint..THAT FAILS!
ALOT of lag, I have fraps of a few people teleporting
Need more space for character names
No female characters for Ms. Gamer
Needs more modding options on guns like a scope for the AK.

Thats pretty much my thoughts. Like I mentioned though I played the Jap version and I know there is more to come like a game called Prison Break which is pretty cool and also guns like the G36 and UMP. So all you AVA fans out there DONT FRET! This is only CB, or a test for lack of a better word.

I think the Shift key would be better. But I have no problems getting used to double tapping W.

there are problems with it tho, you lose alot of moment flexibility

A lot of the things you included we're in Combat Arms, no offense but this game isn't supposed to be like other games. I would like to see female characters in this though, my female friends look weird playing as guys =\.

As for the modding options, its only Closed Beta, im pretty sure they're still adding some additional content, as for me, I cant wait until they release skins for your guns :D

I only mention like 1 or two things that were compared to combat arms,the nut shot and everyone having a bomb in SND, and they were pros, meaning it was good that it wasn't like it..I know its only closed beta(CB), I did mention that in my closing as well as some things that I know are coming. The reason I mentioned the scope for the AK is because I also play the Jap version and there isnt one there either. Thanks for the support on on the Girl Character though :)

why?
1: I sneak more then I run
2: When sneaking its easier to use little finger on ****ft and move with A W D
3:When sprinting you can only be pressing W, so why not make sprint the F key for easier walking movement and F is not used for anything

Hows that for a compromise?

i would prefer sprint stayed its gaming standard of shift. and creeping be alt (that way you dont lose mobility by taking a finger off one of the movement keys) and you can you use your thumb to walk

Sprint should be the Shift key and walk should be w/w.

All things being equal with regards to hacker threats and I will go back to C/A.

That is how much I hate the W/W.

I agree with the beginning post in this thread. All of it.

Except that I don't get much lag...
I think they excluded women from being characters because of the whole "women can't enter into active combat roles" thing in the military. But this is supposed to be the future: I think that women will eventually be on the frontlines with men, but before I get political I'll stop. xP

I REALLY hope they do this, COD has it and its great! you can tell if people will no reg and lag u out buy lookin to see if their ping is high!

I would rather not have different player models... because then you get other problems.. like hit registration, the armor the guns the hit boxes..

Keeping it the same for everyone (i.e. speed and player models) makes it easier to keep the quality of gameplay up.
