I have the public beta when I started playing Drift City a few months ago so all my files are on that Win 7 beta before I move to a new copy of Win7 I wonder where my game files are?

Can I clean install without worry that I would lose my account or items is everything saved on ijji servers so before I upgrade I need to know if I need to backup something for DriftCity

anyone know the answer to this?

Everything is saved on ijji's server, so the only thing you'd lose are your settings and screenshots/music.

The appearance of Windows 7 looks like Vista but requires spec and overall it MIGHT be the new generation of XP.

I also wouldn't want to download Drift City again because it takes too long >.>

i just ran the checker thing, and after i get my new vid card ill be good to go, but i still have to dual boot because my bluetooth software is not compatible with windows 7 and neither is my webcam

ok.. finally, i got the full version of 7. spectacular, except, maybe it's cause i have no programs on it yet. i had vista ultimate 32 bit. i partitioned the drive, threw 7 on the other side of the drive. everything, works. except now, vista has lost it's geniunity. i can still boot into it, but i don't know if it'll stop me from using vista.

some say windows 7 hit 20 hours +. mine only took under half an hour. (i was in the shower half the time.)

say you have vista home premium. you upgrade to 7 home premium. you won't lose a thing at all. everything would be saved to windows.old

The RTM version has actually been available for a while, through MSDN and such. Also, I heard Windows 7 is SO AWESOME that Drift City is 7 times less likely to die if the servers are migrated to Windows 7.

Don't forget i also heard that Windows 7 is SO AWSOME that when someone upgrades a computer/buys a computer with windows 7 they get a free whack-a-mac made from genuine materials.

That's more than enough, you only need 1GB of ram according to Microsoft. It's more about graphics though.

For example, my PC has 6GB at the moment, I run XP. So, it only takes 2GB to run it fully without lag. Once I open windows live messenger, Drift City, forums, frostwire, etc. It gets upto 70% then the other 4GB kick in and lower it to 1-5%.

if yours is ancient, chances are your computer is too, which means not good enough computer to run 7, and/or set it up.

current build:
amd 9950,
640gb hard drive,
2gb out of 4gb of ocz reapers (and it's running smoothly)(one of the ram slot is burnt and is not reading any ram on it >_< the others, are not detecting either

geforce 9800GT OC+ from bfg (not the eco- version)

My current graphics card is a GeForce 6 series. I just want a better graphics card for games, i don't really care about getting Windows 7 seeing as though that price tag is pretty high. I also got my comp in 2007.

the snapping feature is pretty sick as well. u drag a window to the left or right side of the screen and it snaps on, so u can view 2 windows at once without having to alt+tab each window. love 7.

xp is okay, 7 is better because, it was actually made to run well on netbooks. so on a desktop it's blazing fast. (depending on your desktop of course) and with 7 professional u can run XP mode, which lets you run programs made esp. for XP, and runs them very well i might add.
