After 99 skulls you can't get anymore, so sell them all.

The only things you should keep are: around 5 Skeleton Dolls, large skulls, mysterious skulls, Devil's Dictionaries, Enormous skulls, around 5 goblin skulls and Crimson necklaces.

Mm, I was under the impression that if you had 99 small skulls, you wouldn't get anymore of that item, freeing up space for other items. Made sense to me? o.o
