Both require some skill to use effectively, shotgun doesn't work well over distances from the spread so aim is a must while rockets have a timed attack and are able to hit you as well when they backfire.
Step one in proving that it isn't "noobie" is to not call it "spamming" -.-'

lol, I get called "noob" for using 2 rocket launchers, they are fun weapons
I dont know why people cant tell the diff between a spam and a double shot
its odd when I get called spamer when the person is holding fire and cycling shotie
btw: double shooting your rockets are really fast, much faster than a spam ^_^

Yea there is a difference between owning with dual rockets and just shooting rocket after rocket not hitting anything.
I'll let u guys decide which u think is "spamming."
Neither is "nooby", but rather a nuisance, especially if the player starts gloating and bragging. I have to admit that this tactic is particularly useful in atk and def games, as even the most experienced of players can fall victim to a sudden bombardment of rockets or shotgun shells (which is why people hate is so much).
