Problem:
Drift City patches fine as does Gameguard. However when Drift City actually starts up, after it changes my screen resolution it kills my computer and does a force restart. A white screen does pop up for a little bit but other than that my computer is restarting. I am prompted no error message whatsoever.

PC Specs:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ <---Anyone have problems with dual core?
1 GB RAM
ATI 128mb Radeon 9200 <--- Yes I have the driver... well Omega Driver
And that should be all that is necessary.

Gamelog could only produce either the first line or nothing at all (but a "Gamelog would still be created).

If anyone has any ideas or theories please do tell.

Thank you in Advance.

***And yes I do have the latest DirectX

Try defragmenting your harddrive or disk cleanup. Go to Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then do both of those. That will speed your computer up, clear up some space and potentially destroy viruses or spyware. If that doesnt work, try installing an anti-spyway/trojan anti-virus progam on your computer and run it to get rid of that stuff. PC Cillin works ok, but I think you have to buy it. Oh, also search for CCleaner. Its a better version of the disk cleanup that windows gives you and its free as well. Be sure when you are deframenting not to do anything, because that could screw up the process. It wont damage anything, but if you want the best defragmenting session, just go AFK for about 30 minutes (it depends on how much is on your harddrive though).

If that stuff doesnt work, then I have no idea what the problem is. You might just have to reinstall it. If not, contact the GMs with an email or something.

I have the same processor, but with a little more RAM (1.25) so there really shouldnt be a problem. Just try what I told you to do and see.

Hmm, well I would try those options, it's just that defragging really doesn't do much (as Leo Laporte says!) and I have quite enough space to fit multiple copies of Drift City. Spyware cannot be a problem because it wouldn't conflict in that way. A virus or trojan is more likely, but it would be affecting my computer to a greater extent, as I can play all other ijji games and games from other producers.

I have tried reinstalling, but to no avail. I thank you very much for your answers at any rate.

I have a hunch it's my video card and processor combo. I hear that its a bad combination...

I would email/PM a GM but I doubt they would respond fast enough or with sufficient help.

Your right, they dont. I had problems starting Soldier Front and it took them like a week to respond. Your welcome though. Sorry I couldnt be any more help.

Well thanks anyways. I don't quite notice anyone else with this problem so I guess I'll have to wait until the GMs figure out the problems of other players.
