Big Time Lagg On Drift City

Hi, im useing grforce fx 5500 128mb graphic card, my internet speed is usually 230kbps..

i play the game on low detale..what could be causeing all the lagg..???

lol well your computert needs to load the map.. then maybe wait 10 seconds then go :p sometimes happens to me it laggs wen i go to new places... but juz wait a few seconds and its fine

its a geforce 128mb graphic card..i think it can handle a low detale game..

Yeah Its probably not the game but i lag a lot too and my graphics card is one of the newest i have the ASUS EN8600GT but the thing is it lags the same on low detail and maximum so i guess its not my video card =_=

It's your internet speed. Mine is 54 Mbps, which is 54,000 Kbps and sometimes I still lag in the cities while it's getting the GPS data.

Its not about how fast your internet is. Its how fast you GFX card & RAM and ram can load the map. (The game map is in your Drift city folder) What are really doing is Syncing yourself with other players.
I have an Nvida 6800 256 MB XTX and 2 GB's for ram and it takes about 5 second to load the map.

Here is my internet speed BTW: Download Speed: 6837 kbps (854.6KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 489 kbps (61.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

I occasionally lag during a game, i just see everyone drive out of the circuit then suddenly "jump" from nowhere onto the track. Item lag also occurs, i dun get my items which i got in the gates till mid-game/ end-game.

I'm running it fine on my 32MB ATI 7500. The problem is that DC is a huge memory hog. It will easily eat through 512MB of free memory (the min reqs listed on the site are dead wrong). Depending on how much virtual memory you are using, the lag is probably just a bottleneck from the hard drive being to slow to page memory. :sarcasm:

128mb gfx card and only 256 mb of ram and 256 kbps i net conection. any thing wrong, ram is low i know.

well actually i am using the same graphic card for my system but i am running on a 10mpbs line. And it lag like hell for me too when doing races in the BZ, running on the 2nd setting from the left. I think it's the server that lag alot perhaps.

Lol, I'm usually on 54mbps and I don't lag that often, maybe once every 100 mins or so, although my gate lag is kinda common.. Anyone tell me how to fix the gate lag? T_T

gate lag ? you mean when u pass by the gate during races ? Or you mean during city transfer ? :zip:
