I like the idea to an extent. LESS hometeams would be fine. As in, US/Canada/Europe/Asia/South America/Austrailia or whatever... stop with the province and state ranks.

Although I'm a fake dragon and only a Gold Battle Axe, I support the end of the home team ranks (Not the home team system, though). It's pretty lame see some blue dragons that are ruby wand appear to be the same rank as blue dragons that are actually silver battle axe.

SaDRuLeS The way i see it is that u dont want other people to be dragons. (exept the actual dragon 21-1) you want to be recognise as the "REAL RED DRAGON" and that is defeted, because of all the other hundreds of fake dragons, so people may tthink yur fake.

As it looks now u will allways be a Real Dragon, unless you decide to quit for the next 4 years... so dont worry about it amigo

yeah man it would be cool to see total ranking again, but also, i wouldnt mind to see, total ranking, with the home team league rank, example for me, i am rank 5 overall, and i am from quebec, so it will show me as a red in QC ...

but state ranks gives the ranks such as 21-1000 the motivation to rank up futher in our state, if we went back to the older version with no state ranks the only motivation for me to play would be to get diamond wand, which is nearly impossible.... it makes me wanna play more, if i knew that i had 100k gp til next rank up, i wouldnt play, but if i new i had 8k gp to become a silver dragon in my state i would play a lot to become silver

Well i'm an old school GB player and I can tell you the total ranking system was simple and didn't confuse anyone. When I saw a battle axe it was a battle axe, if I saw a silver battle axe it wasn't a blue dragon. These days when I see a dragon it's not a big deal to me because that rank has been watered down by fake ones and the real ones are lost in the shuffle. Do I think the hometown ranking is good? Absolutely. Do I think it should be displayed first in games? No...for the simple fact of confusion.

I just say lets get everyone who wants to abandon home team rank and all join one place. that way you have your total rank shown since its based on gp accumalation in that home team itself.

I prefer real ranking, so people dont switch and take your rank (people who are on the boards, rank 1 in states etc) people tend to be greedy and don't care if it's at anothers expense.

Hmmm. good point. I think the home team system is sort of weird with all the Dragons, but Royal Chief has a motive to get it taken away (it will make him stand out).

The only bad thing about taking it away is that you never see Silver Dragons except once in a blue moon. Right now it's more of a WoW system where a level 60 (Silver Dragon) is rare, but there's more than 1.

I think they should take away the home team ranking and fine-tune the actual ranks. Make it so there's a certain point where you reach Silver Dragon (like reaching level 60). To keep players motivated once they reach Silver Dragon, they can add more ranks as more players reach that point (or add bonuses such as Silver Dragon +, or ++, or +++, etc...)

I dont mind the ranking system the way it is. Even if someone switches home team to one with a low population to have their icon changed, you can still see their real rank. I like that my home team has a lot of people, I would feel like a poser that got to a rank that I didnt earn myself if went to a team where I could have a higher rank and icon. Im not speaking against the people that have dont it, this is just my opinion.
