Lately, I've been noticing that some people show up as higher rank than they really are (double sided axe showing up as double sided axe+, for example). Is this happening to anyone else?

Well their are two different rankings, total ranking, and country/home team ranking... they will usually not be the same.

Uh, no. I think you're misunderstanding.
Someone who is only a battleaxe is showing up as a battleaxe+ IN GAME. They're not hacking, and it's not happening every game.

He's not online right now, but it's definitely not a country rank vs. total rank issue.

Either way, he's just a battleaxe. And yet yesterday, he was showing up as a battleaxe+ for about half the games we played.

It's the country rank... If it weren't then you wouldnt be able to tell that it wasn't their real ranks.. Just hold the mouse over their bot.

And why would that be changing from game to game? Again, it's not the country rank. This is someone I play with regularly, which is why I know his total rank. We'd play a few games and he'd be battleaxe, play a few more and he'd be battleaxe+, etc.

I think I know what Nephemera mean. When GBNA just opened, I started out in the China team as a Golden Battle Axe Plus (overall rank Golden Battle Axe). I moved to the California team and was Golden Battle Axe Plus for a little while. Because of the many people in California as compared to China, I got deranked back to Golden Battle Axe the next time I logged on.
